Define "friend" however you like :3 Do you consider people you've met here to be great friends of yours, or do you still mostly see people here as faceless aquaintances behind usernames? I'm just curious!

I define people I've met on PC as my "friends" since I don't have any friends who like Pokemon in real life, let alone around my own age. PC however has a lot of fans around my age group so it's a group I can interact with easier.

I consider Euphonium, Jude Mathis, and Sheep friends since I've known them since like 2012 from another forum.
Here I met Sun and KetsuekiR who I consider as friends since we've talked a lot.

I consider those I talk to as friends. Maybe not the best of friends, but I've always been the type who considers others friends. I don't know. It's really hard to explain. I don't really have any friends in real life, except maybe three people? :/

I have amazing friends I've made here. Some have faded, others I grow ever closer to. But everyone who's my friend here, I appreciate so much. And you're definitely real friends :)

I've made some of the best friends I've ever had on PC. I've met so many people here who share my interests and have a lot in common with me, and that means a lot to me because it's rare for me to ever meet anyone who shares my interests IRL. The great friends I have on PC are what keep me coming back, and I even chat and play games with most of them outside of PC a lot :D

You guys are all awesome-sauce :3

I joined PC as 13 year old who didn't have a single nerd friend and I was craving the need for friends of that kind. The past 7 years here at PC have been really great to me and I definitely would not be the same person I am now as I was then. Sure some friendships have come and gone, there are many who left the forum completely, while other ares still on the forum, but we no longer speak, but I still treasure as the friendship we've had long or short - especially those I've met from Pokemon Groups, A&D, A&M and the number of GTs I've been in the past.

When I read this as "actual" friends I thought of rl friends going on PC. I guess meeting a couple of PC members irl has been pretty awesome.

Nope, since I'm pretty new here in comparison to many.

I have built strong friendships with gamers I've met in communities before. The last group was from Blizzard Entertainment games and we ended up creating an in-game clan together after we've met on the official forums. We've gone to conventions together, flew around the country for occasional visits, partied, etc.

IRL I have numerous geeky friends, and the vast majority of us share common interests. We're all hobbyist gamers at best.

This is probably a hard question to answer for me.

I was always told by my irl friends that the people you meet online are all "fake" or "non-existant". It's really hard to prove to them that the people I've met online are not the people they think they are. Even telling them that I've met a couple of peeps irl didn't do the trick either. But then again, the fine line between online friends and offline friends is clearly there.

I will be honest and say yes, I do have friends on PC...but it's my fault that I let myself fall off the face of the earth to focus on real life ****, but I always said I would keep in touch as much as I can. I loved the people I met here. I've made great memories with them, but again...it's gonna be hard these days now.

During my almost three years I had people who talked to me for a little while, but who stopped at some point and just started ignoring me, people who ignored me from the get go and people who got banned shortly after we started communicating and who just vanished afterwards.

I suppose me being a cynical prick (people seem to hate honesty as much as not being honest, it seems) and me having hugh social issues and being pretty boring doesn't make it any better. It's so frustrating that I sometimes just want to give it up and give people a _real_ reason to hate me, instead. <_<

Gotta give props to user Sun who's probably the closest to what I could call a friend, though. Even after two months he still keeps talking to me.

I don't think I have any actual friends anywhere.

I have made many actual friends in the 4 years I have been here. In fact I met a PC friend a few weeks back though we only met for like half hour but still it was nice to mee him. :D
I want to meet quite some members to be honest but it's just not possible. ;-; I really want to meet seki, gimmepie and The ???.

No, I really don't think so.

Anyone who approaches me and could strike up a great conversation and do other non-PC related activities is considered a friend to me. :v

That doesn't mean the ones that don't do the last thing isn't a friend. You're all wonderful people after all. <3

Hmmm, yeah I'd say that I have actual friends on here. There are a few people that I really enjoying talking to, even if it doesn't happen often. Some of them I remember from other forums we were both on, and some of them I met here. There's also a number of people on here that I might not be "friends" with persay, but they're still very familiar to me after so many years, and I like to know that they're doing okay. c:
