talked it over with erik destler and we agree that this thread is superfluous with the nature of the dcc, so i'll be closing it and asking that you fine people direct similar posts to that thread

however, unlike other closed/soon to be closed threads, this one deals with emotions and you shouldn't be discouraged from letting those out!
so if you wanna make more specialised threads, that's fine, just leave the dcc-style ones in there
