EMOTION Round 3

Mainly just tired, I've been very busy recently and it seems like just when I catch up on one aspect of my life; some other wacky new thing pops up that causes me to fall behind on something else.
Best wishes for you to get some free time and good rest soon, Porykid!

I'm taking my Driver's Test in a couple weeks.

It's a mix of excitement to have my licence and a slight bundle of nerves regarding the actual test.

Riding with my instructors during Driver's Ed was never something I enjoyed...I just have to get through it one last time.

Guilty.

My best friend here in Japan suggested a small meet up at an ice cream bar tomorrow, especially for one who is visiting from the states. Then the latter and I made the mistake of inviting too many more on our local Telegram channel without the former's a day beforehand. Now it seems like I unintentionally gave my pal the shaft because of how poorly I handled the event planning. I hope tomorrow will go well for his sake. :<

Tired. Just tired. Of everything
Stressed

just been buried under paperwork and answering phones all day long.
Sorry to hear this, you two...

Cyddeon, I wish things to get better for you as soon as possible. Your friends are with you!

VisionofMilotic, I offer you my best wishes to feel better and to get some good rest soon.

I feel emotionally numb.

I've been crying nonstop since my family and I laid my uncle to rest, and now with my pending job loss I just can't seem to recover.

I'm trying to take care of myself, telling myself things can get better (and they will!)

I'll be fine \o/

Excited and nervous, I got an email today informing me I've been accepted to UC Davis. I've already been accepted into a few in-state schools I applied to as safeties; but this is the first actually selective university I've heard back from. I'm excited to have gotten in, especially since I was worried about my essays, but it's really starting to sink in that I'm only a few months away from graduating / leaving home; which is really scary to think about since I definitely don't feel like a "real" adult or ready to be fully independent.

Congrats on getting accepted PK! That's awesome!

Tbh very few people, if any, really do feel like that at that age. I don't think that I did at the time, and I certainly nowadays wouldn't call 18 year old me an adult lol. As much as the age of 18 or so is when everyone legally gets to be an adult, most don't really mature into one until years later (and some just....never do). Nevermind the vastly different financial/economic situation for millennials and zoomers compared to the boomers and even Gen X. Part of it's also that it's a new change in your life that you aren't used to, but probably will in time.

I definitely get your fear,, I have times that I think about what I would be in the future, but congratulations at getting accepted, PK! I know you can do this, just take some time to think and take slow easy steps, you can do this!

WOW! UC Davis is VERY competitive. Congrats on getting in!!!

Spooked

Saw dead snakes outside. My neighbors said they were having problems with snakes in their vegetable garden. I hadn't ever seen them around here before, but now I have- the neighbor's cats have been roaming around the block and one was carrying a live, wriggling snake in its mouth. Worse, they left pieces of it in my yard when they were finished playing with it. It was disturbing to see. I am also worried about the snake infestation they have potentially spreading to my place.

sad

because vacation time is over and i have to return to work tomorrow
Same for me, after this weekend I have to head back to school. I had a really restful break though, so I can't get too upset.
