The problem is that hellspawn probably won't put hellspawn on their list, and if a hellspawn comes up high, they'll vote up an innocent. If the person who we lynch today isn't hellspawn, I'll probably smart to assume the people who voted him/her up are potentially hellspawn. This way is just too easy to manipulate, so I atleast won't participate.

You are right about the assumption, that's why I'm choosing to participate and observe.

Logically, the only way to ensure that there isn't a lynch is to vote on the person below you. If everyone does that, everyone has the same amount of votes and no-one will get lynched. Also, if everyone is on board with this, the person that doesn't follow suit is suspicious. Only works if everyone's in though.
