Favorite Pokémon Tournament 2015 - Electric

Welcome to the third annual Favorite Pokémon Tournament here in Pokémon General, where our goal is to determine the favorite Pokémon of the users here at the PokéCommunity! This will be a tournament that lasts several months, where we'll pit almost all the Pokémon from different types together to determine a winner. After we know the winner of each type, we'll add all of those Pokémon to a final poll, where the winner(s) will be crowned champion, and be known as PokéCommunity's favorite Pokémon!

Spoiler:

• Every week, two new polls will be stickied at the top of Pokémon General. Each thread will include a different elemental type, and the list of Pokémon to vote from.
• You aren't required to pick just one Pokémon- you can vote for as many as you like to ensure your favorites get through. The Pokémon with the most votes at the end of the week will face off against the other winning Pokémon in a final poll to crown the champion!
• In order to preserve space, we've grouped all of the applicable evolutions in a Pokémon family together. Some Pokémon (ex.: the Nidoran families) may be exempt from this rule.
• In the event of a tie at the end of the week, Brendino will have the tie-breaking vote.
  
• Furthermore, members who vote and post for a majority of weeks during the tournament will receive an emblem depicting the winning Pokémon!
• If there are any questions that you need answered, feel free to leave a comment in this thread or send a VM to Brendino to get it sorted out.

[Hiatus]

I'm definitely going with Zapdos on this one. In-battle, it could perform outstandingly thanks to its bulk and offenses, and alongside, its design seems to suit itself without any trouble at all; I don't believe there is much reason for me to dislike the Pokémon, haha. My second choice is Rotom.

Zapdos here. He is the most useful competitively of the three birds, has high Special Attack, good bulk, speed, and has the best design of these electric-types imo.

Riaku, easily my favourite electric type and one of my favourite legendaries.

These were what I voted for this year's poll.

Pichu/Pikachu/Raichu: It's a fan fave, but even after all these years Pikachu is still an icon. Raichu may be more underrated but it's adorable, and so is Pichu. Once a Pikagirl, always a Pikagirl.

Jolteon: I always vote for Eeveelutions for some reason. Because of my affection towards the cute stuff.

Chinchou/Lanturn: One of my all-time faves here. I love the design and the fact it's paired with my fave type, so it was expected I'd vote for it.

Electrike/Manectric: Another fave of mine. I was always a fan of how great Electric-type makes canines look, and Manectric definitely did it right. The Mega also did me well in my Alpha Sapphire playthrough but also I felt nostalgia of my original Ruby because I had one in that game as well. Notable one of my faves from 3rd Gen.

Plusle/Minun: Electric rodents is love, dual twin electric rodents is life. I love these two because cute and know how to team up like a boss.

Shinx/Luxio/Luxray: One that tends to get a lot of love for design, and I admit it is a badass, with an adorable first stage in Shinx of course.

Pachirisu: One of my faves of the Pikaclones. I blame Dawn from the anime, and also Ninjarisu from Marriland's Platinum Nuzlocke series.

Blitzle/Zebstrika: Unova had some of the coolest Electric-type designs seen. I always wanted a zebra Pokemon, but one that has a lightning theme to it? Even more awesome.

Emolga: You know me, Pikaclones are my love as far as this type is concerned. One of my faves from the Pikaclones due to the fact it's the first one not weak to Ground.

Joltik/Galvantula: Voted for them in the Bug-type poll as well, but I love them for useful abilities and the unique Bug/Electric combination.

Zekrom: I love this thing. Badass and with BLUE FREAKING ELECTRICITY to boot.

Helioptile/Heliolisk: Another one with unique type combination, but I also love the design theme to it. Especially the sun-shaped frills and using the sunlight to absorb power, even if their ingame abilities don't utilize it much.

Dedenne: Pikaclones are always cute. I loved how they had Fairy-type on this cutie as well, making it odd but very interesting. I also love its shiny colours as well, because brown and yellow go so well together.

magnezone, electivire, and ampharos

what i like about both magnezone and electivire is that they are part of the new evolutions from fourth gen, and i love the design of all of those pokémon. what i like in particular with these two is that they take elements from their previously evolved forms and make them even better. like with magnezone, instead of being like five magnemite stuck together, it forms one solid ellipse with magnets on its side, which is a lot more creative than magneton just being three magnemite stuck together ;P and with electivire, it clearly looks like it's from the electabuzz family, but electivire's design takes the pins from elekid and turn them into full-blown cords.

as with ampharos, it's a cool design for a sheep. i've used one often in the games so it's very nostalgic to me. plus its mega form is cool too ;P

also would have voted for dedenne but i'm saving that for the fairy-type poll

My votes went to Luxray and Zekrom (and I meant to vote Ampharos but accidentally missed it).

Mostly I went off of appearance but all three of them are pretty decent pokemon in their tiers also. Luxray is begging for a mega mind you.

Raikou. I've always felt sorry for Raikou; it's the coolest looking Legendary Beast and it's always been shafted in favour of the other two. Suicune co-starred in the fourth movie and is an absolute demon competitively (or it was in the fourth gen, at any rate...not sure how Crocune holds up now) and Entei got an entire movie to itself. What did Raikou get? A three-part special. That is horribly unjust.

It's also the closest Pokemon is ever going to get to Thundercats...or the Sabre-Toothed Tigerzord. Raikou needs more love, people!

Y'know it's hard to properly pick from the electric types 'cause I like them all hahaha

Anyway, my votes goes to Jolteon ('cause eeveelutions have a soft spot), Chinchou line (they always have a soft spot in my heart), Mareep line ('cause let's admit they're awesome), Shinx line (Luxray is cool) and Joltik line (<3).

idk I just don't want to vote for electric rodents or the other mons 'cause I might end up voting for them all and that's just stupid. <3

Jolteon has my vote. I used it for the first time in Fire Red and I was amazed at its speed. Its design is somewhat cool as well with all the spikes and stuff.

Jolteon - My favourite electric type! Jolteon is an absolutely speed beast that out-speeds and owns anything xD I've never been disappointed and I'm constantly surprised!

Magnemite Line - My second favourite electric type (line) :P Those resistances are amazing and I love the way it evolves!

Zapdos - It's Zapdos.

Raikou - [user]Meloetta[/user] said it well. He needs a lot more love than he gets!

Rotom - Rotom is in more than half of my competitive teams in one form or another :P

Zekrom - One of the few Unova Pokemon I love! It looks so epic and it just feels legendary xD

I love a lot of electric types--almost all of them--but Pichu was my absolute favourite Pokémon for so many years before Cherrim came along, so that line has to get my vote above all others.

Man!Thundurus is like the best of these electric types due to prankster and great power.
Also zapdos is another good mon competetively for me!

Here are my votes:

Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu - Of course I'm going to vote for the Pikachu line! I'm surprised it's not in 1st place right now. Pikachu is the mascot of the entire series, how could you not vote for it and its evolution line?

Elekid, Electabuzz, and Electivire - Electivire is by far, one of the coolest designs a Pokemon can have. I adore his design, as well as the rest of its pre-evolutions. It's also very good in battle as well.

Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos - This vote mainly goes to Ampharos, due to its role in Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heartgold, and Soulsilver. Although I did find it kind of annoying, I like how they gave you a way to train up for the upcoming gym battles. Imagine how hard they would be without the lighthouse there.

Raikou - One of my favorite legendaries, and my favorite legendary dog. A big reason for this is because of how much I liked using Raikou in Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs. Another reason for this pick is the cool design.

Electrike and Manectric - I really, really like Electrike and its evolution. Every time I play one of the Hoenn games, I usually add an Electrike to my main team. I always find it very helpful throughout the games.

Shinx, Luxio, and Luxray - What is it with Electric Pokemon and cool designs!? Similar to the Electrike line, I always catch a Shinx in my Sinnoh playthrough for the same reasons. Also, Luxray looks amazing.

Emolga - I pretty much only picked this Pokemon for the typing. The Electric/Flying type comnbination can bring real trouble if you don't have any Pokemon to use against it.

Tynamo, Eelektrik, and Eelektross - Eelektross is another Unova Pokemon that can bring you trouble. It has no weakness due to its Levitate ability, and is probably one of the reasons why Ghetsis uses it.

Stunfisk - Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

Zekrom - Pokemon White brings great memories of 5th grade. Nuff' said.

Shinx, Luxio, Luxray: Luxray and it's evolution line are my favorite Electric type and all time favorite Pokémon. Raising them in Sinnoh was such a blast and it's a key member to any of my teams in any games that allow it lol.

Raikou: My second favorite out of the three beasts, I loved getting to catch the Shadow Pokémon version of it. Its design is also pretty cool.

Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu: Besides the anime, this was my go to Pokémon in HG/SS originally. Then, I discovered I could bring Luxray into the game, and well it booted Pika from its spot as my number 1 Electric type XD. Still Raichu is a good Pokémon in its own right and Pichu is adorable (Go Pichu bros ^^).

Jolteon - Awesome competitive Electric type. Very fast, and puts a dent against anything weak to it. Also my favorite Eeveeolution alongside Umbreon.

Electrike line - My MVP 'mon during the countless battles against Wallace, the Electrike line brings back a lot of memories.

Zekrom - My favorite legendary after Rayquaza for its badass design and unique typing. Also, blue glow lines.
