Welcome to the third annual Favorite Pokémon Tournament here in Pokémon General, where our goal is to determine the favorite Pokémon of the users here at the PokéCommunity! This will be a tournament that lasts several months, where we'll pit almost all the Pokémon from different types together to determine a winner. After we know the winner of each type, we'll add all of those Pokémon to a final poll, where the winner(s) will be crowned champion, and be known as PokéCommunity's favorite Pokémon!

Spoiler:

• Every week, two new polls will be stickied at the top of Pokémon General. Each thread will include a different elemental type, and the list of Pokémon to vote from.
• You aren't required to pick just one Pokémon- you can vote for as many as you like to ensure your favorites get through. The Pokémon with the most votes at the end of the week will face off against the other winning Pokémon in a final poll to crown the champion!
• In order to preserve space, we've grouped all of the applicable evolutions in a Pokémon family together. Some Pokémon (ex.: the Nidoran families) may be exempt from this rule.
• In the event of a tie at the end of the week, all Pokémon tied for first place will advance to the finale.
  
• Furthermore, members who vote and post for a majority of weeks during the tournament will receive an emblem depicting the winning Pokémon!
• If there are any questions that you need answered, feel free to leave a comment in this thread or send a VM to Brendino to get it sorted out.
  

NOTE: Because of the limited number of poll spaces, not all eligible Pokémon have been included. If you want to vote for an unlisted Grass-type, check the "Other Pokémon" option represented by a (?), and leave a post with your vote.

Grass types are low key one of my favorite types. I never realize y love for them until i see all of them laid out before me. then i see how much i actually love them. So really limited yself here actually haha

Chikorita line - Johto starters are my favorite starters and that continue with my vote for this amazing line.

Treecko line - second favorite starter ever (behind Chimchar), Treecko has rocketed up my favorite Pokemon list ever since ORAS came out and watching Sawyer and his Treeckop in the Anime.

Turtwig line - Love all three stages of this starter, Torterra was one of my favorite sweepers in the games. love its design as well.

Chespin - The line is dear to me since it was the first one i used in the Kalos region, but my love is mainly reserved for the adorably cute Chespin and best first stage starter of the three Kalos, imo. Second, its personality in the anime is top 5 among all the Pokemon ever shown in the series! ♥

Skiddo line - from being able to ride on its back to being a pretty decent battler, these two are amazing to me. Its introduction in the BW series immediately put it on my radar as a Pokemon i wanted and i have not been disappointed.

P.S. i know...i really like the Grass starters, really having an impact the last few years lol

I really enjoy the grass type. My favorite starters are gras types.

I don't like to vote for too many lines, so I got 3:

1. Sceptile. My love for this Pokemon really grew in the last year. A cool Pokemon who's a great asset in my teams. Plus, the first shiny I ever hatched!!
2. Serperior.I really like his desing and I used it a lot. And Snivy is such a cutie!!
3. Sawsbuck. The seasons Pokemon. A.w.e.s.o.m.e.

Voted for all of them again, since Grass-type Pokemon used to be my most favorite type, but still they're my most favorite ones, especially the Petilil line and the Chikorita line.

I voted for Victreebel, Meganium, Tropius and Shaymin. My favourite grass type is Bulbasaur, but of course we're already covered in that respect so my favourite here is Victreebel.

I actually really like the design of Grovyle, but I'm really not fussed about Treecko or Sceptile so I didn't vote for them. Once again I'm surprised to see them winning like Staraptor's line in the other poll.

I'm sure no one is surprised. It's been my favourite Pokémon for about 8 years now and I've practically consumed it as my identity. I've gotta vote for it. :x

I did vote nearly all of the field (get it) because Grass-types are so beautiful.

Oddish line: One of my faves from the 1st Gen, and still remains one I love today even when it's getting a bit of competition.

Hoppip line: Another cute one, plus it's paired with the other featured type for this week so, go figure.

Lotad line: It's paired with my fave type, and a unique combination at that. I also love how Ludicolo makes me feel happy because it's always happy.

Seedot line: While I like Lotad better, I still find Seedot adorable, and while it has a ****-ton of weaknesses it's still at least got a good design. Also, never forget Bruschetta (from Marriland's OR Wedlocke).

Roselia line: Another all-time fave, and one that I tend to recruit on my team when it's an option. Appearing in most regional Dexes helps that as well, because Roserade is majestic but strong.

Lileep line: Another of the great 3rd Gen Pokemon here, and its type is actually quite synergistic since it loses some of Grass' common weaknesses.

Cherubi line: It may be weaker than most others on this list, but hey at least it's another cutie and we know a certain PC somebody who loves it.

Snover line: 4th Gen had some very cute Grass-types, and I definitely put Snover up there. Abomasnow ain't so cute but at least he has a fearsome Mega.

Leafeon: I always vote for an Eeveelution, so no surprise. And also, never forget Extremely who was one heck of an awesome Leafeon.

I also voted for all the 5th and 6th Gen ones (again not much to say on them other than the fact they are all well-designed) as well as all the starters and legendaries here.

I voted for:

All of the Grass Starter lines - It is a tradition as old as all Pokemon games that the regional Professor gives you a choice of starter. I have used all of the Grass Starters and they have helped me greatly in all playthroughs.

The much overlooked Meganium line Was a key figure in my Current Heart Gold Grass Monotype, it learns the useful move Body Slam and us able to ser up screens too.

The Sceptile line may well be my favourite starters in the entire series. Every Hoenn playthrough I have chosen Treecko and he gets a very cool Grass/Dragon Mega Evolution. The whole line has an excellent design.

The same can be said for the Torterra line Which has a unique Grass/Ground typing and impressive bulk. Also Gardenia has a Turtwig.

I am not as big a fan of the Serperior line as other Grass Starters but it does have an outstanding design and in my Unova Grass Monotype Sidney the Snivy soloed Roxie's Gym.

The Chesnaught line is a great starter with an impressive Grass/Fighting typing. Similar to Breloom who I also voted for it hits hard.

Oddish Line - I normally carry a Vileplume or Bellossom if available. The signature Pokémon of Erika and in my Johto Monotype, my Ace was Vileplume, Vileplume (Along with Venusaur) was also a key player in my Kanto Grass Monotype.

Roselia line - Receiving both a pre-evolution and evolution in Sinnoh really helped this line. It is the signature Pokémon of Gardenia and was in Cynthia's Champion Team. In my recent Unova Monotype Roserade was a key player particularly with the combination of toxic and Venoshock.

Whimsicott line - Whimsicott may be the cutest Pokemon ever. It's Prankster Ability makes it great to set up status problems on foes and whilst Whirlwind is notoriously inaccurate, a flying move is rare to see on a Grass Type.

Lilligant line - My favourite Grass Type. I love its design. It reminds me of an elegant Princess. She gets two good abilities in Chlorophyll and Own Tempo. Own Tempo enables you to use Petal Dance continually without worrying about confusion. She also has Teeter Dance. In my Unova Monotype the Ace of my team was Jessica the Lilligant and fittingly one hit Koed Iris' final Pokemon Aggron. Lilligant is also my favourite Pokemon to play with in Pokémon Amie.

I have also given votes to the useful Ferrothorn line, and the underrated Tangela line In other.

Tropius since it looks cool and it just represents Hoenn all over
Torterra for looking cool and its pretty useful during my playthrough
Serperior for looking so badass and being fast

Jumpluff, Roserade, Cherrim and Whimsiccot

Mostly just for design, and I always like to get Roserade in any game I can tbh, I love Roserade.

Oddish gets a vote from me, because every time I see it I remember the Odd Squad, the greatest Pokemon fusions ever created. I still get giggles from that picture. xD

Also, Torterra. Just the name is awesome, never mind that it's an ankylosaurus with a tree on its back. The only way Torterra could be cooler would be if it had a mace at the end of its tail...and I'm willing to bet the eventual Mega evolution will have just that. Torterra was a pretty damn good Pokemon in the anime, too - Paul's was a powerhouse, and it was great seeing Ash's Turtwig reach its final evolutionary stage, given that Ash's Pokemon seem to be allergic to evolution a lot of the time.

Shaymin also gets points for being cute.

My vote goes to the snivy line, the lotad line and the turtwig line. My ludicolo in AS was very useful and Torterra and Seperior are very good <3

My favorites are both the Halloween lines, Phantump's and Pumpkaboo's, as well as the ancient Cradily and the banana Pokémon Tropius.
