B/W2 is commonly known for its diverse and interesting gym layouts, complete with their own unique gym music among many other features.

    • Elesa's fashion show runway
    • Marlon's water garden
    • Skyla's wind tunnel
    • Cheren's schoolyard
    • Drayden's twin dragon statues
    • Roxie's nightclub
    • Clay's mineshaft
    • Burgh's insect haven

Which one of the above layouts is your top favourite? :]

I think my personal favorite would be Drayden's dragon statues. You're fighting on top of dragons, one black, one white, and before then the dragon's arms rise as you beat the trainers and they headbutt before you battle Drayden himself. It's all so epic, and the music before the fight provides a royal feel to it.

Second favorite would probably be Clay's mineshaft, since he's my favorite Unova Gym Leader of all of them and the music is rad for underground. Wading through the darkness and the platforms made for a cool time, surely.

As for myself, this is a really tough question to answer. I love all of the B/W2 gym designs! I can picture each of them in my mind and find lots of things about them that astound me. But alas, I have to make a decision (ugh decisions)... So, Elesa's gym it is. The first thing that comes to mind when I enter the gym is the funky beat and rhythmic, pulsing lights. Also, her entire gym is literally a fashion show runway with models as trainers! It's a completely different experience as compared to other gyms as you literally are the main 'model', so to speak, with spotlights shining on you and an entire audience rooting for your victory. This can be clearly said: Elesa's gym is definitely out of this world and is very well deserving of my #1 spot.

Draydens that was cool i loved the moving dragons but the insect haven is definately equal to it the colors the cocoons the web it was all so cool i think either would be the best that was one thing i liked was the gyms much better even the first gym was pretty cool

I loved the dragon statues Drayden had, and also the catwalk for Elesa but my all-time face was Marlon with his watery garden. The music in that Gym is really beautiful plus he is my fave Water Gym Leader ever.

Honorable mentions also go to Burgh's cocoons (which I actually liked better than the honey he had in the originals) and Skyla's wind turbines since it made you have to have good timing to get through.

    1. Burgh - Beautiful stage. I still prefer his first stage as my favorite of BW and B2W2, but the cocoons silk contrasting with the paint had a beautiful effect. Also, it was fun navigating through the gym. But nothing beats the honey comb art gallery. So it's not quite realistic, but it's realistic enough to appreciate the beautiful surrealism of this gym.

    2. Elesa - Hmm. I think both gyms are equally good, but this one functions a bit more realistically, but that doesn't mean it is boring! The music is amazing, and the atmosphere feels very anime-like, which makes the experience very exciting!

    3. Roxie - Great music! I love the idea of a punk band for the poison type, which is a huge shift from exclusively stoic ninjas. It is simple since this is a second gym, but I loved the idea of battling her onstage while performing...again, felt realistic and anime-like.

    4. Marlon, Clay and Skyla - They are all so practical of designs and very fun to navigate! I can't choose one over the other simply because the gym puzzle was so fun. They might not have the wow factor, but they are really immersive gyms that I could see playing out in the anime.

    6. Cheren. Meh, it's a first gym. A schoolyard is just beyond elementary. I do however appreciate the simplicity in it all, also it was an outside gym with a calming atmosphere -- it did feel VERY anime-like as an experience.

    7. Drayden -Everything seems a bit too mechanical, as the statue is moving, and doesn't really feel organic a gym layout. It could have worked if it was scaling a dragon like statue from spiraling with scales, but instead it was like operating a crane in a linear motion upward. So, I do like the concept, just not the execution whatsoever.

I liked Cheren school yard it was cool and interesting though I wished they had some kid NPC characters watching around Cheren to create the hype from the anime.

My favorite was probably Elesa's fashion show runway. The music, the lights, the crowds, her dialogue, your character as the center of attention...it all comes together perfectly, especially once that epic Gym Leader music signals the beginning of the battle. I loved all the gyms and music from BW and B2/W2.

I gotta give props to Drayden's dragon statue gym. Definitely one of the most out of the box gym set ups I've seen yet. :3 But I love Elesa's fashion show runway. I'm a big fan of fashion and just the whole set up of the gym is amazing!

I LOVED all of the new gym designs, so I definitely agree that this is a hard question to answer. I think the best would have to be the twin dragons, it just felt so "epic" and perfect for Dragon-types. Roxie's was also pretty cool, and Cheren's schoolyard was cute, and I liked the new music in Burgh's gym.

    My top 3:

    1. Elesa's gym. The gym layout was totally unexpected (compared to any other gym, and assuming that the game doesn't match the animated trailer) and cool! The audience, the lights, the anticipation... Incredibly unique.

    2. Burgh's insect haven. I can honestly say I dislike bug types, but his gym is another unique one. That weird design in a tall building which is located in the busiest(?) city of Unova. Not to mention that his room is colourful.

    3. Roxie's nightclub. This was supposed to be my No.2, however Game Freak spoiled it for me by changing 'Dogars' to 'Pokémon' as the tune. What a shame.

I think my personal favorite will be Marlon's Water Garden. I really enjoyed the puzzle, and it really fitted the soothing music playing in the background.

My favourites were definitely Marlon and Burgh's :) I liked the sort of transport feature of each, with Marlon's Gym being stunningly beautiful and relaxing while Burgh's was just so much fun, even if you picked the wrong cocoon lol :)

Burgh, Elesa, Cheren and Roxie's for me. :D They were pretty cool and even though Roxie's and Cheren's were really simple, it was a more casual approach, which was really refreshing.

Burgh's battle room was just BEAUTIFUL, the first time I ever saw it when my sister was playing I just stared at it for ages. It was so rad. :O (Burgh is a sucker because he kneels down in the paint NYANYANYANYAAA)

And who wouldn't wanna walk down a runway? It was so cool!! Had everything going for it. :D

My favourite Gym layout is Roxie's. It's simple, it looks nice, there aren't any puzzles to solve, the tone ties in very well with Roxie's punk attitude and the background music is great. Well, the Japanese version, at least. Roxie shouting Dogars is more enjoyable to listen to instead of her shouting Pokémon. :P

I personally really like Roxie and Marlon's gyms, maybe it was because they didn't have gyms in the other games though. >.>

Gonna go with Marlon. His gym is super relaxing and has great music too! I love it. 8)

I love the relaxing nature of the music, but riding on the lilypads was the fun part. I also really loved Elesa's Gym with the fashion show in it and Drayden with the dragon statutes. Clay's was probably the trickiest to navigate with all that darkness making it hard to get around.

Elesa's gym rocked my world. I just love the details and they all converge into a magnificent piece of art. From rollercoaster to runway, I feel like her essence as a character was the most brought out among the eight leaders. It really told a story.

What didn't work for me? Drayden's gym. Pretty much uneventful. I wasn't a fan of Clay's layout too since it was just like walking (or should I say mine-carting?) around in the dark, kinda like Dewford Gym.

My favorite Gym layout would be the Driftveil Gym, Mistralton Gym and Castelia Gym.

Driftveil gym puzzle has improved a lot from its former design. The puzzle is fun as well. :)

Skyla is really a prankster and a master of Gym design. While I prefer her cannons, the the gym isn't bad either.

Burgh's Gym is as artistic as the Gym Leader himself. Hischamber is beautiful and the cocoon-thing was certainly genius!

I'm disappointed with Marlon's. He's a man of the sea, though his Gym reminds me of a pond than a sea. Nevertheless, it is still fun.
