1. Burgh - Beautiful stage. I still prefer his first stage as my favorite of BW and B2W2, but the cocoons silk contrasting with the paint had a beautiful effect. Also, it was fun navigating through the gym. But nothing beats the honey comb art gallery. So it's not quite realistic, but it's realistic enough to appreciate the beautiful surrealism of this gym.
2. Elesa - Hmm. I think both gyms are equally good, but this one functions a bit more realistically, but that doesn't mean it is boring! The music is amazing, and the atmosphere feels very anime-like, which makes the experience very exciting!
3. Roxie - Great music! I love the idea of a punk band for the poison type, which is a huge shift from exclusively stoic ninjas. It is simple since this is a second gym, but I loved the idea of battling her onstage while performing...again, felt realistic and anime-like.
4. Marlon, Clay and Skyla - They are all so practical of designs and very fun to navigate! I can't choose one over the other simply because the gym puzzle was so fun. They might not have the wow factor, but they are really immersive gyms that I could see playing out in the anime.
6. Cheren. Meh, it's a first gym. A schoolyard is just beyond elementary. I do however appreciate the simplicity in it all, also it was an outside gym with a calming atmosphere -- it did feel VERY anime-like as an experience.
7. Drayden -Everything seems a bit too mechanical, as the statue is moving, and doesn't really feel organic a gym layout. It could have worked if it was scaling a dragon like statue from spiraling with scales, but instead it was like operating a crane in a linear motion upward. So, I do like the concept, just not the execution whatsoever.
