It has been confirmed that we will be getting yet another batch of news on August 1st. That is what Serebii said. It will be at about the same time has it has been, which is early in the morning for USA ect.

I just about bet it's going to be what we're supposed to get in CoroCoro that same month. I'm super excited for this one because it will be info on the region itself, which is something that we're kinda lacking in right now.

I am also hoping for new region info in this next trailer, but what's the bet it'll just be more new Pokemon getting revealed. Maybe be we'll learn more about the super-powered moves since it's the major new mechanic and we're getting close to the point that Mega Evolution was revealed three years ago.

I wouldn't be shocked if it was another batch of 6-7 Pokemon.

They seem to have jazzed up the last few Pokemon reveals with the silhouette effect. (I think it started with Salandit) So they're probably intending to make a big thing out of these reveals.

Personally I don't care as I'm not interesting in spoiling story or gameplay related stuff anyway.

I doubt it.

The July 1st reveal had nothing to do with what was in CoroCoro for that month.

That was just one month, though. May and June however had the websites and YouTube accounts beat CoroCoro to the punch.

Wait, Iwanko and Nekkoala were first shown in Corocoro before any other place. Or, did you mean June issue (May release)?

So it's two months Corocoro has shown pokémon before other sites/magazines.
June (July issue)- Rockruff, and Komala.

July (August issue)- Mimikyu, and Bewear.

I am very seriously doubting that was is reveled is the same as Corocoro. The last few things have been completely different from each other while Corocoro is showing its own stuff. So I think it is different.

You do have a point, a lot of stuff shown in CoroCoro never usually matched up with a trailer, and in the cases where CoroCoro revealed new Pokemon (Komala/Rockruff and Bewear/Mimikyu) it took several weeks before they were eventually revealed on the English site.

All this news is quite overwhelming but I'm down for it! I wonder if this will be the same news that Corocoro will be sharing regarding the southern Alola island?

As Icy said, the trailers so far never usually coincided with information released in CoroCoro.

I was talking about all the other information besides Komala, Rockruff, Mimik-Pika, and Bewear. CoroCoro DID have all that other information, it's just those scans never made it online because it was all repeat information that was already up on the websites. My point was that the vast majority of the info in CoroCoro has been repeat information excluding only those four Pokemon.

It would be nice if they showed at least one more of the guardians, but they might not. If they do show new pokemon, I am still hoping for an Ice type and maybe another bug. I am also expecting one of the lines to be reveled in it. Similar to how they handled Grubbin's line. I am expecting to see at least 1 evolution of Pikipek. But it may not be it's final or it could be. They reveled Talonflame before Flechinder.

But I am still mainly wanting to see other parts of the region. Would love to see the layered waterfall/hotsprings areas. Also some info of towns and some real names for towns would be nice. I don't think we have gotten a single Village or Cities names. It would be nice to get one so we can guess the names of the others, as they usually follow the same theme when it comes to naming Towns, Cities and Villages.

This reminds me that we haven't had any evolutions revealed so far other than Grubbin's, so maybe it might be the time to reveal more evolutions of Alola Pokemon. It likely can't be the starters' middle evolutions which I likely expect coming out in either September or October since they are usually revealed close to the game release.

I remember thinking Fletchling having a middle evolution being likely when I saw Talonflame because I was like "unless if it pulls a Swellow this has to be a three-stage line" and bam Fletchinder was unveiled from the many gameplay leaks that broke the street date. Pikipek's registration in the Pokedex had two Poke Ball symbols next to it, so it's safe to assume it'll be a three-stage line like most regional birds are.

Also here's a look-back at all the 7th Gen Pokemon revealed by type so far: https://water-shuriken.tumblr.com/post/147786287806/alola-pok%C3%A9mon-by-types-so-far
Spoiler:

The type with the most 7th Gen Pokemon revealed so far is a tie between Normal, Bug and Fairy which have 5. Electric has the second most, with 4 who were all coincidentally revealed in the June 30 leak. Steel, Water and Psychic all have 3, Grass, Fire, Ghost and Flying have 2, while Fighting, Rock, Poison and Dragon all have just one. Dark and Ice are so far the only types to not be represented on a 7th Gen Pokemon that was revealed so far, so it could be time to get a new Pokemon of those types.

I almost forgot about town/city names. The only location name that we know of is MeleMele Island. I do remember around this time we had gotten a couple town names and if they had Gyms for Gens 5 and 6. Since the CoroCoro article is called an "island guide", that may be what we'll be getting next month.

There's actually a lot of info that hasn't been highlighted just yet, the main focus has been on new Pokemon. We haven't seen anything on the evil team, elite four members, towns and the other islands. I think from now is when we will learn about all of that and the more in depth side of the games, that new trailer in August could well show us the first information about the evil team.

Very true. I wonder if the conservation theme will tie in with the evil team? Like with Hawaian colonial history there has been a tension between traditions and conservation alongside Western innovation and tourism. I think it makes sense to release all of these unique pokemon that are tied to an endangered ecosystem prior to introducing an evil team...we want to first identify with the Pokemon that are in danger to feel the magnitude of an evil organization that may threaten wildlife for its own material gain. Whether that harm being reckless deforestation, pollution, or harvest little bounsweet's for their sugar. :(

That's just my "theory" anyway.

If they use the Rainbow Prophecy, which right now it seems to be a perfect match, this will be it. I suggested that the Evil Team has no care about wildlife and tries to destroy forests ect to set up new big builds and cities.

For me, the Rainbow Prophecy is probably my number one pick. There was a thread where I explained it, but it might just be best to read it for yourself.

What role, if any do you think the legends would play?

If you think about it, Magma already tried the whole screw nature for more land for humans thing...

I think they'll start to move away from more pokemon reveals and focus more on features as the games get closer, and then maybe 1 or no information in November.
