There's kind of a lot coming out this year that I'm interested in:

    -Monster Hunter Wilds
    -Pokemon Legends ZA
    -Xenoblade X Definitive Edition
    -AI Limit
    -Metroid Prime 4
-Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater remake

What about everyone else though? And there could be more, considering that the year's just started and the Switch 2 (or whatever it will be) will finally be revealed in the coming months.

I was absolutely overjoyed to hear anything at all about Metroid Prime 4 last year, it's definitely the biggest thing I'm excited for right now.
Unbeatable is apparently slated to come out this year and I'm very hopeful it will, I loved playing the demo for it.
I'm praying that Borderlands 4 will actually be good, because I've recently been replaying Borderlands 2 and been remembering how wonderful that game is. But after hearing bad things about 3 and that Pre-Sequel wasn't as good, there's a small hole in my heart for a new Borderlands game as good as 2 was.
The Outer Worlds 2 looked appealing from seeing a trailer for it at the game awards, I'm unsure if I'll ever get around to play it but it's something I've at least kinda got my eyes on.
And of course, Legends ZA is something I'll be buying, mainly out of curiosity, since I think Legends is interesting and a nice direction for Pokemon to move in, but I wasn't as fond of Arceus as some people were.

The game industry has been kinda down the gutter recently in terms of triple-A. But hey, that means it's time to either find something else in the industry to jump into, explore the backlog or finally delve into the
wondrous world of net game hosting.

Looter shooters have had that problem for quite a while during the live service era of that sub-genre. Destiny 1 & 2, Tom Clancy's the Division series, Anthem, Warframe etc. all tried to take over during that time but could not sate my appetite. It might take either a double-A or an indie dev leaping to the fray to change that. Until then, BL 2 will likely remain the defining game of the looter shooter genre.

I'm not that interested in anything coming out in the near future, aside from the planned Age of Mythology expansion packs. I rarely if ever play anything until it's already been out for a few years. My backlog's big enough as it is, and nothing sounds that interesting aside from a couple new RTS games. Even those are likely just going on the backlog for a while, if anything.

Nothing (for me) unfortunately. Unless Persona 6 or FF9 Remake gets announced for this year (former could possibly happen I feel like [see my bold predictions for this year] but probably unlikely and latter seemingly definitely unlikely). I just don't care about Yotei, Death Stranding 2, MGS3 remake or GTA6 I'm sorry I just don't. The whiny pokemon fanbase will just find something to complain about, again, for Z-A.

I'll try to focus on my still 2 year-ish backlog (easier said than done tbh) and hope something will get announced this year that I can get excited about and/or look forward to.

Kind of? Might not play any of these until the end of the year, if not later.

    • Civilization 7: Typically enjoys Civilization, even without the expansion packs. Waits to get a PC that can run it, though. (Passes on the Switch version for several reasons.)
    • Rune Factory - Guardians of Azuma: Asks why this is considered a spin-off. Holds off to see more about the focus of the game.
    • The inevitable Generation 10 Pokemon game: Announced nothing yet. Presumably follows the three year pattern.

    Yugioh: The Early Days Collection
Ok, I retract my earlier comment. This is the one new thing I'm actually interested in this year. It looks like they'll even translate the games that were originally Japanese-exclusive, which is something I've wanted for a long time but never expected to actually happen!

Mosnter Hunter Wilds, definitely. Not sure what other games I'd be excited about this year but I'm sure I'll know in due time.

Right now there's only one definite game:

TOKIMEKI Roadmap to Future, the upcoming visual novel based on the Love Live Nijigasaki series.
[PokeCommunity.com] Games you're looking forward to in 2025?

Because of my stubborn insistence to never own a smart phone, I've not had the chance to play any of the Love Live rhythm games, so this is my chance to play a video game based on my current favorite media franchise.

A couple others are question marks:

The upcoming Atelier Resleriana console release (not the current gacha smartphone game) is a curiosity that I'm keeping an eye on. Not really feeling the art/character style of the other Atelier release (Yumia) that's been announced. Plus it looks like Resleriana is going to have a more classic Atelier battle system that I'm used to from older entries in the series.

Legends Z-A, maybe? These days it's impossible to tell if a Pokemon game is going to be any good, but revisiting Kalos is an intriguing proposition.

And some that are definite buys if I can get an English translation:

Aquaplus is remaking their legendary ToHeart dating sim, but no word on when/if it'll be translated to English and released here. Same thing with Memories Off Sousou ~Not Always True~. I'd buy both if English language versions get announced.

None of the other announced JRPGs are screaming for my attention, to be honest.

Missouri and Louisiana DLC maps have been announced for American Truck Simulator. Though not standalone games, I'll definitely be buying them when they come out.
