as someone with no social life, life has been almost entirely the same the entire time for me....
which is probably not a good thing but whatever...

I'm in a similar situation. I'm not exactly a social person, but the pandemic is proving more tiring than I imagined, considering I didn't socialise much before anyway.

I feel everyone's pain about losing direction / passion. I am stuck in such a funk at the moment, and seem to enjoy nothing. I can't seem to change it no matter what I do either. I can't even force myself to start a Pokémon game or write poetry rn :(

I can relate. I actually wanted to go more outside at the beginning of last year. Then the year happened and I'm probably even worse socially than before. xD

Well, PC i made some progress, which I have to be thankful for to three people in particular. Discord is still a problem for me, though. The faster pacing, the group in-jokes, my lack of interesting things to say and me not being able to deal with the younger people on there who have way too much energy is something I still need to find a solution for.

And let's not talk about relationships. If you ever want to see me changing from cheerful to depressed and borderline suicidal in a split of a second just talk about having a partner and love in general. xD
It's currently happening very frequently, unfortunately.

But in regards to you: you definitely made for a good addition here in FG. I think you'll get that social life going sooner or later if you keep up being active and branch out eventually. ^-^

I was wondering why you seemed so out of things recently. Hope you'll get your drive back. <(^o^)>

I think what we all need is for the pandemic to be over and then some more happy stuff to get some energy back. <_<

I actually tried doing something I've been putting off tonight, making something for my sig in photoshop, so that's something positive I guess :)

Despite doing art stuff since childhood I never managed to actually get good. I plateaued on a very low level which I hate because it's something I can enjoy quite a lot.

I own an old copy I've had for years. I used to be pretty heavily in to photography, so I used it mainly for that. I still use it as a general purpose image editor a lot of the time. Right now I'm just manipulating shapes... badly.

I love art, but don't have a single artistic bone in my body, unless you count poetry, and even then I'm not so sure 😅

I've always wished I could create art, but alas, I just can't :(

Hang in there!
Unfortunately there is no universal cure, or I would be hogging it 😂
A change of scenery can be a good stopgap though, in my experience. Doesn't even need to be abroad. Especially if you leave your phone/computer etc. at home and just free yourself from all you usual worries for a couple weeks.

Unfortunately my social skills irl are extremely poor, and not by choice. It's also something I dislike talking about even with the anonymity of the internet.
So I don't really expect a change there at any point really.

Was it the "Be Proud" graphic in your signature you were talking about? Looks good! :)

Also, don't talk down your poetic abilities. You've gotten a lot of recognition for it. That means something. Also: if you consider yourself bad and I'm worse than you, what does that say about my skill level? D:

You don't need to blurt out all your secrets like me an idiot, of course. :P
But it can be helpful to talk to a psychologist; especially in the current pandemic pained world. In fact, even if you don't have a mental disorder it can be useful to seek out professional help and be it just to learn more about yourself.

As long as they don't drag things out over weeks and months, of course <_<
