Still no!

But now is Alex!

Btw to clarify, the fangame I am creating needs only a few programs that work flawlessly with wine. Only one program, used for just for one single step, required me to use virualbox.
That was because it needed a specific windows library or something similar. I m kinda sure it can be set up on Linux in some way, but running virtualbox is way easier and faster. And yeah I haven't even needed to use shares folders, but just discord and drive lol. Pretty easy. What keeps me busy with the fangame is that I am doing something that very few people attempted so it's extremely hard to find information and help lol, but we're almost there.
Ah right, it's not a fangame, it's a hack rom!
See @Megan, no excuses!
But if you could install VirtualBox to play my fangame...

Indeed. Thought I'd pop in and see what's happenin' a little earlier than usual today.

Will Sweet Serenity be up next?

Nope, I won't allow it! :D

Piplup again?

My excuse is that I don't like Platinum.

And lol VirtualBox. I've used that thing when you were still a little kid going to regular school! :P
It's where I tested out whether I want to use Arch or Gentoo Linux. I even briefly used it for a webserver just for the fun of it.

I still prefer stuff running natively with as little effort as possible. Wine is already pushing it with all these demands it makes at times. Only for stuff to not end up working, anyway.

Afaik there were projects that tried to port RPG-Maker games to Linux. But that's also a long time ago. And I think most of them are abandoned by now. Doesn't help that newer RPG-Maker versions ship with Javascript instead of Ruby. So, people probably don't even see the point in doing ports.

Lmao you don't even need an excuse ahah. I know the target isn't big tbh, but when I do stuff, I generally do it for my own enjoyment, which is also what makes me avoid giving up lol. Also the hack ROM has still a lot of development ahead. But whoever wants to try it, if it comes out, I'd be glad lol.
I like this conversation going into the Linux world lol. Personally yeah, I have been using virualbox also for trying out Gentoo. It's a really really really interesting distro, but I'll have even less of a life lol. So, still evaluating it.
I also considered getting more into Pokémon fangame making, but I have no idea about which programs are needed and work, so I wouldn't know how convenient it is to work on Linux. However, I always try to do the most in Linux. I like it tbh. I aim to completely be windows independent, not because of hate towards it, but because I like the idea that my computer and OS is able to do everything.

Nice pic, Rekoil! Next time Vaporeon and I will have a tea party!

FCG?

Now introducing: VirtualBox :)
The only difficulty though, is to set up a shared folder between the VM and your machine. I've done it before but it took a few hours of exploration of StackOverflow and help threads, because, OF COURSE, it doesn't work as seemlessly as the tutorial suggests lol.
