My university is organised enough to have the thesis submission deadline before the spring break... except there's 8 exams right after it so I'm spending mine preparing for that. :)

Thesis submission deadlines are July/September here. And I have one exam that in a normal situation I wouldn't have.
 
I have tomorrow off! Gonna do nothing but sleep in and play Pokemon :D

What's Processing? Word processing and stuff? I'd recommend checking out either JavaScript or Python courses/tutorials, I remember doing the Python course at CodeAcademy when I was younger, I had a lot of fun. It's free, well organised and is divided into small steps. It's never too early to try it out in my opinion, you don't even have to get all of the concepts introduced as long as you're having fun.

I've never had any days off at my uni, not even on national holidays or when there were strikes. :( A lot of schools do a 'reading week' in between semesters but we don't do that. But I do my own thing to catch up, I've consistently skipped every semester's last few weeks.
 
I was able to do some programming here and there at my workplace, it's really fun. My manager is as computer savvy as I am and we work together on writing a bunch of random code. :D
