How many games can you play at once?

I don't mean literally at the exact same time - but in the same period! Can you play through multiple different games? Maybe you can really only juggle a couple? Or maybe you can play multiple depending on the genre/type of game - say, an MMO during the day, and then at night you relax on your Nintendo Switch playing something else? Or can you only ever play one game at a time, and then the next only gets started once you finish?

It depends on what I'm playing. I can happily play a few rounds of BFV and then head onto OW2 for a few rounds, but recently I've been playing the Oblivion Remaster and end up playing exclusively that for hours at a time

At least 5 if Archipelago has taught me anything LOL XD

One "main" game and one-ish "side" game. Avoids interrupting the main game with another. Enjoys thinking about what to do next in a game. Wants to act on that as soon as possible. Loses a lot of lustre by switching to plans for another large game. (Counts Archipelago as one game.)

Refers to something like Fire Emblem Heroes as a side game. Cannot play it for very long most days. Treats something like Balatro as a solid side game nowadays. Pulled it out while waiting the ~20 minutes for a Civilization 6 game to load, for example. Works well when waiting for some computer update or scan.

Five or so, but usually only one per genre. Occasionally two per genre if the games in question are very different from each other.

I tend to try to only focus on one game at a time. Although there were times where I had a main game and a side game. The last time that happened... the side game was Fall Guys but I even quit playing that.

Currently... it's basically to only 'one game at a time' and I try to finish it (to my liking at least) before I move on to my next game. I don't try to have multiple games at once and some fall to the wayside or get forgotten or not get finished.

As I get older I'm finding variety is the key to keeping me engaged in gaming because I'll eventually get bored of playing the same single game for hours on end no matter how good it is. For me tooo much of a good thing can quickly become a bad thing so I need to mix things up.

With that being said I have a couple of multiplayer games I always play, and then I normally squeeze in one singleplayer game at a time
