If I could improve PC...

one thing I'd like to see out of this forum is more, like, events. like maybe movie nights for C&M, or this board could do like skype get-togethers semi-regularly or something, or play CAH with each other every now and then. things like that. that's the one thing I think is really holding this place back in terms of a community. maybe this actually happens in the boards I don't yet frequent (I know it happens in VG and I love that) and I'm just missing it. if so, My Bad.

If You Could Make One Change To PC

With these implicated changes forthcoming, I am curious to see what you guys would truly like to see implemented onto the forums, whether realistic or not.

So Pokecommunty, what would you change about this place? Would you add currency? Would you create a democracy? Would you refine the rules?

I would lock .gifwar once and for all.

I'd just change the avatar size limit tbh, its too small imo.

That's not the case if you're a supporter. Gold and Crystal supporters get 180x180, while Platinum fellows such as myself get 200x200.

If I had the money right now I'd get you. Which reminds me I need to do school.

Probably implementing autocorrect/spell check or something just to fix the horrible grammar and spelling that may arise from people who don't know better.

Increasing the size limit for gif avatars would rock too.
 
tbh we need petilil everywhere on the forum
 
1. Allow reaction images for users to express their feelings about a post.

2. Weed out the unnecessary SJW comments.

3. Include YOLO emblems that'll encourage users to try to obtain it to their list, as it'll be lost forever if they fail once.
 
As for right now I don't have anything here I'd specifically pop off and change about PC.

As for my wish list:

I might poke somebody to make a Pachirisu specific theme.

I would have a pink username. Melody would look fabulous.

I'd just carry myself like any other mod or S-mod might; ruling with a gentle yet iron fist and enjoy any tenure I was allowed.
 
If I want something changed I go post in CQ&F or whatever they call it now. Nothing has really been on my mind for the past... year, or so.

You aren't marketing your changes to TPC (or if you are I don't see the need) so why do you feel a pretense of surprise is relevant?

The current postbit conveys more information in less space (and with greater use of text over iconography, which is clearer) than your examples. I don't see how an update along those lines is desirable for any reason beyond "isn't that pretty".

I know it'll never happen, but PC should have an introduction with maturity and proper discourse of opinion. It's very reminiscent of secondary school how most only ever motion for what they think will be popular, and how often intelligent/useful ideas are denounced in the name of social status. It's very crude and immature, and also illogical.

Again, I'm only speaking generally (God knows I don't have the time or interest to name names), but PC needs to learn that it is not always correct just because it is saying something as a majority. It also needs to learn how to be realistic as well because all too often touchy/offensive topics are avoided like the plague so everyone feels better... guys. Life is not candy and roses. It has winners and losers, and the fact with anything is that there'll be a few winners and a whole lot of losers. That's reality.

Maybe if some of these things fell into place you'd see a lot more constructive criticism and a lot more original thoughts, instead of rushing for what everyone else is thinking/wanting/doing like a herd of cattle.

That's all I have to say for now.
 
I like the thought of a forum currency or point system as well.

I'd like to see more availability with CSS and HTML in posts. There are a lot of limitations that would be really fun to exploit use.
