She just responded with "That gif is probably fake. I don't think mr. rodgers would flip me off".
That's such a good response, I love it.

Yeah, for sure. It's good to branch out and explore the other sections in the forum. You may find another thread or section that you like and you may meet a new friend

Just gotta find the right places. Been posting a little bit in a couple parts of the forums but I think I'm just slowly warming up to them and getting over internal stuff. Like I don't post a lot in Internet & Tech cause I don't think I have a lot of knowledge on the subject and I have this silly preconceived notion that I need to know everything about that topic to talk about it, or like everyone knows more about it than I do. When in reality, that really doesn't matter, who cares if I don't know every single minor thing about something when I have a discussion? The times I do post in there are when I can get through that no problem. Definitely slows me down or halts me sometimes, though.

Even if you are unfamiliar with topic it wouldn't hurt to just sit in and "listen". You're bound to pick up some knowledge and if it really interests you than you could always look it up later for next time. It's always good to broaden your knowledge because you never know who you're going to meet and where you can apply that knowledge. It may surprise you.

There's a lot of useful stuff to pick up and I've definitely done that in some conversations without thinking about it. You gotta learn stuff from somewhere, right?

Then you could be like me with a vast amount of seemingly useless knowledge that confuses people when you happen to know the obscure answer that no normal person would know.

Oh trust me I relate to that a bunch. I may not know the typical "useful" applicable knowledge, but boy if I'm into something I am into it and it's great to talk to people about it. If anyone talks to me about SIFAS (or LL in general really) or asks me about it, I've got a lot of things to tell them. Knowing the obscure answer to things would make you more interesting too, I'd think.

It's hilarious to me because this thread started as "do we really need another DCC-esque thread?" and now it's been able to boil long enough to produce anime gifs and pictures of Mr. Rodgers.
this is the best timeline i could have imagined. i'm glad i'm here for it lmao~
Thanks! I was just thinking earlier today about how I post a lot, but I don't really tend to be in a lot of varied threads. I mainly just stick to the same ones and I've occasionally just slowly tried branching out to other ones. This, Guess the next user to post and Last One to Post wins are like the three I actively check. Maybe I should start paying more attention and get some more on that list.
nothing out of the normal there. there's guys like FeraligatrMaster; dude's got over 18k posts at this point and he only ever posts in some 3-4 threads at PokeTrivia. makes it a sort of signature area for him hehe.

Omg you sound so much like me!

Wait... you're not me though, right? Are you?

Truly a legendary sequence of events.

I like the idea of having that kind of signature area for yourself. I'm definitely not against the idea of branching out and trying other things but as someone who just naturally ends up being in these kinds of threads with you guys it's cool to just kinda have it as "the place I usually am". I remember Ash coming in and saying something because she knew I didn't check Gender Race, which is funny because it's just another FG thread.

Ironically I fit myself better here than somewhere like Anime & Manga or Previous Generations just because I find it more natural to be here. It's just where I've descended, I suppose.~

The biggest plot twist of this thread... Ash has an alt?!

Nothing wrong with branching out if that's what you want, but if you force it, then sometimes it can become a chore, and you don't enjoy it anymore.

Hehehe we all know where to find each other :)

Ok I'm seriously scared I might have become a burrito in my sleep 😱

Pretty much. I'm the only person who's really gonna be caring about where I post, so hey. Gotta please myself.

Can't say I'd be too hard to find, but I get you! It's pretty cool knowing that.

I agree with this. Especially when work is already a chore; then you really don't need to get more stressed just you have the feeling you need to participate in other places on the forums, etc.

It's why I actually have to be really careful with my mod position. I've been on staff before, on other forums, and I know I tend to overwork myself in these positions very easily. xD

yeah okay i better watch out myself too. people have been warning me endlessly not to "overwork" myself on here, and i haven't listened to them ever since at that time i would never imagine that i'd get bored/tired of this place. now that my freelance gig boss has agreed to a package that makes me work way more than i usually do, i'm gonna be more busy more constantly.

i might as well participate exclusively in either simple of meaningful discussions, compared to what i do right now with making the rounds on every single thread i witness. i dunno really, i don't take burn out as seriously as i probably should.

Sometimes it does feel like I'm just one person in a group of mods. I don't mind it at all, it's funny to me, but I've definitely noticed it. I don't think I'd apply for modship because of that though, I wouldn't want it to feel like work since I'm already kinda pushing myself to branch out.

Take care of yourself, remember to take breaks when you can. Being aware of that and taking them whenever has been really beneficial for me. Just super good to be aware of that.

I had the exact opposite problem. I quit the social media team because I felt like I wasn't doing much, and there was some guilt that I was holding a spot that someone much more efficient could be holding.

I'd feel so guilty about getting a message concerning my activity on the social media team, when I had been seen active on the forums. I figured I'm much happier just using this site for leisure.

I left a Discord mod position partially due to inactivity so I know what you mean there. But also when I left rumours started circulating about it so who knows
