Ignore List

I've never used the ignore function on PC since joining in 2009. No one really has made me need to use it, which is good. However, I wouldn't hesitate to use it if I needed to.
 
I don't use it because no one bothers me enough. That and I don't really see much point in a "soft ignore" feature - if someone annoys me to the point of wanting to put them on my ignore list (hasn't happened yet, whew) then I'd prefer not seeing their posts at all as if they didn't exist. The whole "this post has been hidden because x is on your ignore list" doesn't help much.

Chances are I'll never put this feature to use either way, I'm just too mellow of a person I suppose.

  1. I have thick enough skin not to need it
  2. When I have a reason to ignore someone it's almost always a reason that they get banned for before I have to do anything
  3. Thus, if I recall my ignore list on RuneScape was filled with spammers and 13-year-old boys that the game was just too big for staff to sweep up

Nobody here has frustrated me so much that I would place them on my ignore list, or maybe I have matured enough to just laugh at that person and then ignore him/her.

I'm sure that unless someone starts to either harass me or send me hateful messages, nobody will ever be on my ignore list. P:
 
Nah. Instead of ignoring these people, I have decided to deal with them. It worked, too!
 
Never been one to blatantly ignore people or place them on my ignore list unless I have a good enough reason to, but that's mainly outside of the forum. On the forums though, I tend to try to be as calm as possible. I may ignore peoples' messages from time-to-time if they're inappropriate, but like I said, in my opinion, majority of my actions are justified.
 
I don't recall ever using the ignore list feature here. There's really not been anything that's happened that makes me even think of using it.

Although that's true for pretty much everywhere. I usually don't consider the ignore list for anybody, unless that person is annoying and/or enough of a jerk that they've drained my patience. And that takes a lot to have that happen.
 
I have finally utilized it. Perhaps said person was about as ignorant and foolish as a patient on Staten island. Perhaps they reminded me of how much I detest false information, and how waltzing in a room, claiming you know best, then continue to keep up the facade is enough to have me place you on the Ignorant list, because that is what my list is for. The ignorant and intolerable. Fools of the Imperium. . .

I rarely ever, ever put somebody on my Ignore/Block List. It takes full-blown harassment and threats before I consider it. I also try to respond to every message I receive, and if I don't reply, it's because I have no idea what to say in response. In those cases, it's usually because I receive a one-word message, like, "K." :S
 
I have only used it once for one person. It's someone that has bullied me on my past moments here, and I wanted nothing to do with them. I decided the best thing to do was to block that person. Other than that, I hardly ever use the ignore list because I haven't run into anyone that needed to be ignored.
 
At the end of the day it's the internet so there are going to be people who are different from you and whom have different views but just take their opinions on board and help you gain new perspectives on old situations.

I mean I have been tempted at times, if I have had a bad day etc, but I have never really ignored them. Like everyone else has stated, I prefer to have the ability to read their messages and try and take the 'higher road' or if the person is just annoying and not offensive, I continue to be polite with my responses as everyone has gone through that over eager stage of chat at one point or another, right?
 
Usually I never get that annoyed by someone that I don't want to see them at all. It's probably only happened once but it was on the battle server where I'm not allowed to ignore anyone anyway because of mod permissions, haha. So nope, nobody's on the list!
