When I do drink, it's normally jim beam and coke, or a mai-tai (sp) I haven't had a drink in quite a few years though.

When it comes to mixed drinks, I am fine with a rum and coke. It is actually quite good. It is my usual drink when I go do Karaoke. Speaking of going places, this Saturday I will be going to a comic book store since this Saturday is Free Comic Book Day.

Free comic book day always sounds like a cool way to get into comic books, and then I realize that the lines will be hours long. Not worth it.

I went to a BAM store a few weeks ago, I actually never really paid attention to Manga's but I looked at some. I was pretty...interested in wanting some of them. The ones I actually want isn't there, so I probably have to look them up online. Why me? >:(

Honestly don't remember when was the last time I've actually read a manga, haha. There's only around four I own right now, and they're all mostly related to Pokémon. I ran into a couple of store before that sold manga, but haven't purchased anything from them; ones I have were bought from Amazon, if I remember correctly. d: When it comes to these stuff, I prefer physical copies. Digital are okay, but they aren't always able to provide you with the same feel.

The only manga I read are those dojinshi that kids like me ought not be reading but do anyway, and of course my Red and Blue PokéSpec box set because it's literally all I adore from Gen I, and I really love it. I never had an interest in those non-manga comics at all, just because… they seem weird to me. :<

I was at the KFC/A&W today (a few hours ago) for lunch with $5 on me for a burger to go, and when I was ordering the lady at the register—I swear—she somehow caught what I wanted and put in a Papa Burger sandwich into the machine, and yada yada she puts it in and tells me it'll be right out. After that she gave me a free drink saying "I look a little beat", to which I smiled and decided to eat in. After I got my burger and was filling up my drink she said something like "we just dropped 500 orders of fries, so here" and we both knew she was playing and laughed. So I ended up not only getting a free combo, but my outlook on people has brightened a bit for the moment. :)

I do not understand this story.

You ordered and she somehow understood what you wanted? Isn't that...how food service works? I'm missing something here.

Free food is always awsm
Hence why I like eating at buffets that much
You pay a fixed price and technically can eat as much as you want and everything you want :3

I've never been attracted to buffets mainly because it's actually a waste of money for me since I have a relatively small stomach. That, and I prefer quality over quantity. I used to eat sushi buffets a lot until I discovered that sushi a-la-carte is infinitely better. My sister earlier today told me she wants to shove a hamburger down my throat because I've become too skinny ;-;

Are you allowed to take food home from buffets? Just curious because after reading this conversation, I thought of a pretty easy way to get free food for weeks haha ~

Usually no. I used to sneak food out of my school's buffet though for my boyfriend because I never used all the meals I paid for so it was only right to get full usage out of it.

Most buffets I've been to require you finish the food (no leftovers) otherwise you pay. I've paid a few times, but it's not really a smart choice.

Buffets are a waste of money on me as I prefer eating restaurant-grade half-pound burgers and most buffets don't even have sliders. :P

I get it from my father, too. All he'd eat anywhere was burgers, but gradually he opened up to things like sweet and sour chicken, lasagna, etc. I like that stuff but a big half-pound bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, restaurant-style spear pickles, mayo, ketchup, and a little mustard is perfect. Nothing beats it for me~

I learned how to buffet from my mom. This is what you do:

1. You start preparing for a buffet a week in advance. Every day before buffet day you eat as much as possible and when you're full, drink as much water as possible. This stretches your stomach.
2. On the day you're going, eat nothing else.
3. Ignore pasta. Ignore mashed potatoes. Ignore anything cheap. Get steak and seafood, or meat in general if neither of those are available.
4. Get there at the end of lunch so you get all the lunch things and then the dinner things when they switch over.

My family is hardcore about food.

Mushroom burgers are my favorite. Especially portobello.

But I actually like buffets; I always go for one when I'm in a hotel or something.
