This topic is about both hot dogs and sandwiches. I assume you like both of these food items, correct? So, closing such a thread about 2 things you like would make you a hypocrite. You don't want to be a hypocrite... do you? :O

Oh, but wait, I just realized something. The OP asked if a 'hot dog' was a sandwich. A hot dog, in fact, is merely a hot dog, so it cannot be a sandwich. However, if you put a hot dog in between some sandwich bread, then it must be a sandwich, correct? So then, explain, how is a hot dog on a bun any different from this? The hot dog is clearly sandwiched between bread, yes? If you put burger meat on a hot dog bun, does this make the burger a hot dog? No, of course not, it would still be a sandwich.

I rest my case.
