Is it just me or does time go by so quickly?

Is it just me or does it feel as though nowadays, time flies?

I mean 2015 came and went in a blink of an eye honestly. I remember as a kid time would go so slowly and it felt like I had all the time in the world. Now, not so much..

Maybe it's because when I was 10 I didn't have any actual responsibilities other than to look after my Tamagotchi and feed my Pokemon poffins lol

jfc thank god my tamagochi responsibility didn't translate to real life now xD

I still can't believe it's almost the end of January and I haven't done anything productive.

Welp, my 2016 is done and over.

Haha yeah...many of my tamagotchis died. I would legit break down because I'd spend hours cleaning their poop and feeding them and making them happy. LIKE WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT? I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING

I don't think time so much flies as it does blur when you get older; one day is pretty much the same as any other. When you're a kid everything is fresh and new and exciting, but when you're an adult you fall into the same dull and predictable daily routine to make the monotony of life more bearable, and time just stops have meaning outside of those rare days when your daily routine is interrupted by some unwelcome event.

But god, January has dragged on something awful, and I am so glad it's almost behind us. Awful, awful month. I bloody hate January.

It's kinda weird for me. Every day feels like a year, but at the same time it feels like January has flown by very quickly.

I don't understand but I'm not going to complain.

Honestly, nope. I feel as if I've been ~20 or older forever. It's been so long, so much has happened that has shaped my life and made me who I am today. So, so much. And that's nice. I don't like when time flies c:

I'm pretty sure I posted about this almost a year ago, so I'll just dig up my old post for the heck of it. :D

    Okay, here it is!

It's weird, but it seems that older I get, the faster time passes. When I was a kid, an hour felt like FOREVER, no lie. And now? Minutes feel like seconds, hours feel like minutes, weeks feel like hours, and so on. I would kill to have an hour feel like forever again. :<

My guess is that our perception (or at least, my perception) of time is relative to how long we've been alive. Like, when I was five years old, one year was a whopping one-fifth (20%) of my entire life, whereas now a year would be only one-eighteenth (less than 6 percent) of my life. Based on that, I'm guessing things will only get faster from here on out, which is quite unfortunate to me.

Yeahhh... I can confirm that time has only been getting faster for me since I made that post. It's literally out of control by this point, and I'd do anything for it to slow down. :/

It does but most of the time I don't care. I usually point out it goes by fast though occasionally.

I feel like time has been flying by these past few years. Weeks are gone at a blink of an eye, and I can't really tell if I like it or not.

I feel the same way too! Days feel like a few hours, minutes feel like nothing, memories that I thought were rather recent were ages ago and I could wake up and the sun will be down before I know it. I still can't believe it's the end of January 2016 either, what happened to being stuck in 2013?! Maybe it's because I'm growing up and there's a lot of new changes and events to get adjusted to and be excited about but it's still pretty freaky to think about.

All my friends say that time moves by too fast, but to me time goes by so slowly (and I'm fine with that). It seems to go by faster in the summer a lot of the time, than wen I'm in school. Maybe that's because I have less responsibilities in the summer or that I get more sleep then but I prefer to be busier and have time going slower. xp

On some days I tend to be like, "dang has it been this long?" and realized a lot of time went by. For instance, I realized it has been ten years ago since a family trip I took, my father in the hospital, applying for college, my first start into forums, etc. Late 2005-2006 was a pretty big change for me and ten years felt like a blur.

2015 came and went a lot faster than I had realized. Really, the last two or three years in general have been a blur for me; I hardly remember anything that's gone on throughout them, and yet it still feels as though a long time has gone by. When I was in elementary and middle school, time moved by really slowly. Nowadays, it goes by too quickly for me to keep track of.

Yea, I think time flies faster as we get older because experiencing one year as a young person is a bigger fraction of your life at that time than experiencing one year as an old person. Like 1/10 is bigger than 1/19 so I guess that is why we feel like time flies faster.
