To be fair: there are a couple Mario games where getting hit by something while you have a power up like the Fire Flower will turn you into big Mario first.

Last Mario game I played besides Smash bros was probably Mario Galaxy on the Wii. I was never that good at them. Guess I can't win.

Last one I played was Mario Maker 2, briefly before I popped Pokemon Shield in.

I still got Oddysey plus another Mario game lying around still sealed in plastic.😅

Huh, I also played that one when I was younger. I got so mad at one of the underwater sections that I tore my DS Lite in half lol.

The last Mario game I played was probably New Super Mario Bros for the DS. My sisters and I liked to play minigames on multiplayer.

I remember playing a Mario game way back on the SNES though I don't really recall which one it was. It was my first interaction with the games.

We had both Super Mario World and the first Super Mario Land. I really liked playing the former and didn't like the latter.

I also got Paper Mario Sticker Star because I wanted to try out a Paper Mario game. Big mistake; but I beat it anyway. ^^"

That's very true. But in my defence, I love Dark Souls, and I was like 13 at the time while going through some very serious depression.
I wish I could say that was the only thing of mine that I broke at the time...

I'm not big on memorization or reflex based games in general.

When I played Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze for a bit I couldn't help but wonder if the DKC games were always this hard.
Like, I don't specifically remember any of them being hard when I played them back on the GBA, but when I payed Tropical Freeze I wasn't even that far into the game and the levels were already pretty hard. xD

Pretty sure it's just me getting old and not having the reflexes anymore though xD

I wasn't that much a gamer before Pokémon. In fact, this still rings true. It's mostly just Pokémon and Animal Crossing for me!

A couple years ago I was really into very hard games. I played a bunch of these tough indie platformers like Super Meat Boy and I wanna be the Guy. Those two are also the ones I made the most progress in. But I never beat any of them. And I'm just really not into hard games anymore.

So it's mostly just Pokemon and Xenoblade for me nowadays.

Ah Super Meat Boy... one of my abandoned games. I don't even remember how far I got, but I sure as heck never finished it xD

Funnily enough, I didn't continue any of them because I couldn't make a specific jump even after hours. So, I do have a lot of patience when it comes to hard games. I just don't get that feeling of accomplishment whenever I do end up getting through a tough part. That's one of the reasons why I stopped playing hard games altogether.

That's weird though! Is it because you are not emotionally involved in the games you play?

I actually get it. It was programming for me tbh. Spending time to solve a problem or something, yet no good feel at the end. Nothing much. At that point I understood I wanted to do something different in life.

But anyway, I love Dark Souls, but I gotta be in the mood and I am indeed slow at it. The fact is that I think it's one of those games where if you play consecutively you get way better. Souls games are among my fav ones as they're really interesting and involving.
