Rain is great! Besides the occasional summer thunderstorms we've had (which I'm still not used to?) I expect it to be really sunny and hot for the next little while and I'm really looking forward to it. Probably gonna go to the beach or something at some point!
I don't like rainy weather that much; it's very humid and we are stuck at home because in it's season it rains daily....It feels good until it rains, otherwise it is sticky.
Personally I like Autumn and Summer. I enjoy when weather starts to become cooler, and nice breeze blows throughout the day and leaves make rustling sound, plus evening skies here look yellow-brown, which gives nice feel. And I like Summer because days are long, weather is hot, and lots of time to enjoy, plus seasonal fruits are very tasty in this season. Although you all know how hot it gets for us, still keeping that aside, I like the positives which it brings !!
Thunderstorms are great until my power goes out!
I love hearing storms though, especially with heavy rain. My bf and I both really like rain and I'm a big sucker for all the romantic scenes in the rain I've seen so it always feels like it has some extra meaning to me.
And all the water which we will get in this season will serve as our reservoir until next year.
Few years back, less rain happened, due to which we faced water problem in summer. But we were lucky enough water didn't ran dry. We were purchasing packaged drinking water until things got better.
For us, the summer lasts for more than 4 months, hence situations like these are critical.
In this regard the rainy season is very good and important as well, but personally I am better with living in 45°C with clear weather, rather than 30-32°C with 90% humidity.
Yesterday during the storm we actually had a large tree branch come off a tree in the neighbour's backyard and fall (mostly) on our side porch and near the backyard- the trees in our backyard protected our yard and fence from being damaged. The neighbour was happy to help clear it off. Definitely have got good neighbours on that side (the right). Now if we could get some good neighbours finally on the left...
I get pretty nervous during strong thunderstorms because there's a giant tree in my front yard that could easily reach my room and crush me if it falls the wrong way.
Today is Red Alert for severe Rainfall here. It rained whole night yesterday and it is raining heavily from morning. It is as dark as late dusk, despite it being the day.
I don't think it is safe to go outside considering how the things are looking from window, and how loud and frequent the thunders are.
