The forum is really laggy for me this morning. Other websites are fine though.

The forum's been really laggy and badly loading a couple times for me too. Probably some maintenance or something going on in the background.

It's horribly laggy when first opening the website, but speeds up after. Same on mobile.

I'm also not able to load flairs quickly. Lavenders was appearing frame by frame like a slide show.

I actually play Star Wars: The Old Republic besides Pokémon games, and ever since their new update tuesday I haven't been able to get on the game- it gets to the loading screen, and then just freezes. This is happening for countless other players as well- and apparently, Free-To-Play players can get on fine, but people with a subscription (like me) can't. They had an update today that was supposed to fix it, but it still freezes. And of course it does this when I'm close to finishing my Light Side Sith Assassin character's class story. Ach...

In between liking it enough to watch all 3, and not loving it enough to get excited to watch the prequels.

I don't even know what happens in star wars, and the only mean by which I came across that title was due to some promotional event with a food product in the past !

I never really got into Star Wars and only saw like 2 movies. They didn't appeal to me very much.

Would you believe if I told you I watched all of the Star Wars movies (except the sequels) but forgot about all of it? I can't remember a single plot beat other than the most famous ones. Star Wars never really interested me tbh.

The lightsabers always struck me as an odd choice for a weapon in a universe with star ships and space stations that can destroy a planet with a single shot.

Maybe they needed a weapon to 1v1 a star ship and lightsabers were the most effective?

if they are "light" sabers, what's stopping you from making really long ones?

I think Light Sabers are much more powerful than real life swords. Especially with so many fights taking place in close quarters or in a ship interior. A close range weapon is needed.

Afaik Star Wars is just knights in space. So, Light Sabers really are just "how can we have swords, but in space?". Granted, regular swords still exist in the Star Wars universe. I guess in a way Light Sabers are kinda what the Master Sword is in Zelda games. The swords for the chosen ones, so to speak.
