I don't like ordering stuff during that time. Delivery seems to suffer from delays and errors are bound to happen in the process. Instead I just look what I can get locally. :3
In some parts of retail January is even worse with all the returns to deal with and most of the returning people don't have much festive spirit left by then 😔
I only had something returned once because I genuinely could not think of a use for it on my end given that I already had something similar to it.
I'm usually not fussy with stuff I receive =3
I pre-ordered two things a few months ago that just came out Tuesday. Any other time of the year, I'd usually get it delivered that same day or the next- currently it's showing the deilvery date as Monday. Tis just a wee bit more waiting, though. No big issue.
...Provided they don't deliver it to our back porch again, especially considering we don't have one. (That happened one time- I went looking all over the neighbourhood and asking people if they'd gotten a package delivered to them by mistake. Eventually found it on the back porch of the house next door. And unless I'm mistaken, that was Pokémon Shield that was being delivered. Ach...)
