i really like the tiles the house placement is awsome its not square great tree placement aswell iv give this awsome map a whooping : 1000/10 lol the simple answer Lucario 9 , i say :ok so here is the rating : 10/10

Credits: Me mapping, Tb Pro & Zekku for tree & mountain tiles, X-Buster and Forgotten Memory for D/P Mart and Center.
Comments: I'm aware of the black spots you see on the "Tree-mountain" tiles, I'll fix them soon enough, please concentrate on the map :D (Took about 45 mins :p)

Suggestions: Make the map less square. Remove some of the little bushes up top. Make it less symmetrical. Fill up the empty space better. Make to path not so straight.

Suggestions: Fill up the space a bit more. Remove/enlarge some of the small boulders. Add in a bit more path.

Comments: I like the tiles;) You really need to change the palettes, they don't go well with those tiles. I like the way you transition the grassy hilltop with the craggy hilltop;)

REASON: Don't get me wrong... The map is absolutely beautiful, it's just that, the fact that the tree houses on top of the trees are what annoys me most. Really, how can a big house occupied by one-two-three people can be handled by one thin tree?
SUGGESTION: I think you are familiar with Fortree City in R/S/E, right? Observe the tree houses there, a lot of trees are supporting one house, right? Why not make the trees two or three on handling one tree house? :\
 
I'm quite bored, so I decided to make like my first map in like two or three months

Im only rating yours cause the others have crappy graphics and mapping. So far this is probably the best.

The trees don't look right, especially having that crossing order, have them more organised with shadows on the inside, trust me, it appeals when playing the game. I don't like it how theres three science labs, there should only be one with a couple of houses, possibly the houses from Fusia City or however it's spelt. There also too many random gaps, plus the water in the corner is a bit random. The roof of the mansion doesn't match how big it is. It looks like your going for the nintendoish style maps, which is a good thing, cause they look nice in gameplay. One thing, MORE FLOWERSSSS!

6/10, but with the fix ups it could be an easy 9.

Lets compare my rating with yours xray, without anything about the tiles, plain logic and 'design'.

There are too many parts around the border missing, either you have like five hundred connections to that one map or theres going to be alot of stuffed up borders in there. The house on the left side of the map must be deserted, cause theres no way to get there. The river gets too fat and too skinny in some parts, making the 'natural feeling' unnatural. There aren't many paths going around to the houses or buildings making those mountain parths a bit useless and random. The flowers are singular and put around randomly. Take a look outside and tell me how many singular flowers are miles away from eachother. Plus the maps a bit empty.

With the borders, you cant have a 3 x 3 border unless you edit it in hex, an easy way to avoid that is to make the map larger and add more trees around the border so it's not necessary.

4/10.

I agree with many of the other replies to this map. I noticed a border error to the left, along the cliff.
The cliff conflicts with the border of the map.
Had to point it out.
And I agree with Time though, the little white fence is pointless, you would be better off with a regular edge.
Other than that, very nice, 8.5/10

Reason: I like the map. Pretty good mapping after a long time. The trees are nicely placed and I like the use of the mountain tiles. Just one thing bothers me. You've used the same lab building thrice. Doesn't look that attractive. You need to have more variety.
Suggestions: Try to make the map more attractive. Try to add some more creativity.

When I'm trying to get myself back mapping, I like to just use the tiles already in the tileset. I'm a little limited by that.
@0m3GA AR$3NAL I realised the border problem as soon as I posted the map. but at that point I couldn't be bothered changing it.

What I find funny is that when I used to place out my trees with the diagonal joints, about six months ago, everyone hated it. Now it's just normal. :P

Oh, and I'll be back with another map or two later.

Hey, I like this map, it's pretty good! I'll give it a...8.5/10
Reasons: Okay, I like how all of the mountains kind of slope downward and break off into a trail. But I don't like how some of the houses are orange and others are red. I think you should add some more flowers here and there and move some of the signs. Each house has one!
But overall, I nice map.

Considering it's from Ruby, thats a pretty good map. There are some bad sides though, the trees attract too much attention and make the map look busy. The pathways need to look a bit more natural, not so random, plus with the orange houses, I reckon make them a PC and Mart. Change some of the trees to the normal tree and add some more flowers.

1. Rivers actually get thin, and wide at parts :P
2. I actually have 5 connections going on this map
3. The border is 3x3, not hard to do (can do it in A-Map)
4. Maybe around 30 flowers or so?
5.Can't call you on the mountain paths -_-' your right there

I'm doing palette changes before the first beta. The patches of land around town? If you ask me, that would be kinda realistic, seeing as land isn't always grass, it has uncovered dirt to. Thanks for rating.

I only don't like the large amount of grass placed all over the map.
The lake is placed neatly.
Instead of the grass, try adding more trees, especially on the right side of the map.
It's a good map in general.
