What is your most expensive Pokemon you caught? Meaning, how many pokeballs it took you to get the desired Pokemon?

I just caught Azelf, I needed 40 Luxury balls, cca 5 revives and hyper potions.
So it cost me around 50k+ bucks.(Pokemon Platinum) :D

Azelf is like, the most annoying pokemon EVER to catch. 40 ultra balls, 14 timer balls, and 13 great balls.

However, considering I only bought 15 ultra balls and 14 timer balls... the other balls I did use were through pickup. so, 1200x15 = 18000... and 1000x14 = 14000, it came to around 32000. with the other balls I did find, I saved myself around 37800.

Technically, mine wouldn't be catching. Mine was the extreme amounts of money I spent on a Porygon, I believe in FR/LG

I never use anything but Pokeballs. But I can still get legendaries in within the first ten usually. Occasionally even the first one. So I don't think I've ever spent that much money on any one Pokemon.

    Spoiler:

I remember the time I was catching a Cryogonal in Black, the darn thing used up 8 Dusk Balls before eventually being caught. And I was even using False Swipe nonetheless yet it still didn't want to get caught.

Groudon in Ruby, as a little noob. I probably spent 50 ultra balls on that thing, and even then it was still a pain. I never did catch it though, as I gave up and let it die. :(

Same story as above; Groudon in Pokémon Ruby. Back then, I didn't know much things about capturing legendaries, and began throwing Poké Balls immediately after encountering it, without lower its health at all. Wally did give me a lesson or two about catching Pokémon at beginning of the game, but I didn't really pay much attention to them, sadly, and kept mashing A button so that I could proceed. Aside from that, I also had quite a tough time getting a hold of Lugia in Silver, as well as Giratina in Platinum. I did weaken latter, but it was still hard to catch. In total, it had taken me about 200 Poké Balls.

Same thing for me, but in Silver.

Pokeball wise I swear I used the most trying to catch Suicune in Crystal. Just so many ultra balls. So many.

My first Pokémon game was LG, so for me the most expensive was one of the legendary birds (maybe Articuno), because I was a noob ( ̄□ ̄)

hmm I think MewTwo in FireRed. I was trying to catch it for like 2 days but I didn't waste too much in Pokeballs 'cause I saved before battling it. And when I didn't have any Pokeballs left I was just turning off my GBA. I still remember the day I caught MewTwo!! :)

Groudon in Pokemon Ruby. I probably spent 20 Poke balls, 5 Great balls, 10 Ultra balls, 30 Net balls and 2 Repeat Balls. I ended up using all of it and making it faint. I was so sad at that time.
