Moths or Butterflies?

Which one do you you prefer? And what is your favorite species of said group?

I'm personally more of a moth guy, there just so floofy and adorable :3
as for favorite species, it's the Polyphemus!

I like both! Butterflies are pretty and moths are cute! I try to avoid touching/interfering with them.

I know people who are really into insects seem to love moths, I just... can't do moths. They freak me out.

Butterflies are nice though, I find their patterns more appealing and they're a lot less freaky to me.

I am also a fan of both. I'm not knowledgeable enough on bugs to be able to mention a specific moth as my favorite, but I do have a favorite butterfly...

I like moths a bit more than butterflies, but that doesn't means butterflies are bad. Since this is This or That question, hence chose the former one. Moths wings have very catchy and have flashy pattern, which looks intimidating as well as thrilling. They are big sized, and are amazing to look at when they fly in the air. I have few favorites, and they are :

3. Iron Moth




4. Hercules Moth (Just for size)







There are butterflies as well, but here I am supporting Moths only, hence sorry to the butterflies !!

Butterflies. Moths commonly rush into the door at night and startle me. They also startle me when they land on my computer screen seeking light.

Butterflies are gorgeous. So many lovely patterns, and they're one of the few bugs I'm not afraid of. Moths are especially annoying when they get into your place and you hear them smacking into things at night lol, makes it hard to sleep. No thank you. ;_;

Moths are a nuisance if they get into the house as they'll like to feast on anything made of fabric. I used to try and catch them and throw them out, but they've become too regular a nuisance for that

I don't think I've ever seen a butterfly in my house so obviously I'll go with the prettier of the two that also happens to be better educated and doesn't invade my home like some common ruffian!

Actually, only a handful of moth species eat clothes. and it's only their caterpillars that do so. plus the species that do eat moths aren't common in the netherlands.

Butterflies, I think they look really pretty and it's always a treat when I see them at work; moths on the other hand kinda freak me out when I'm sitting outside at night and they start rushing towards the nearest lightbulb. My favorite type of butterfly is the Monarch
