So do you collect things a lot? If you do, do you do it for investment or fun?

Personally, I collect Pokémon cards for fun, but it's always nice when I get a rare card worth $8.

I also collect coins, but that's purely for fun. Maybe I'll sell it to my grandchildren but as of now they're all worthless :P

I collect records and old video games. I love listening to original masters of classic albums, before they were ruined by someone 20 years later during a 'remaster'. I only collect albums that seem promising though. I don't own a single one I don't enjoy. (even you, 9012Live: The Solos)

Video games, mostly just PS1 and before. I've halted that though, as most of the games I want from here on out are fairly expensive.

In a way I collect art that I like on my computer for reference. I guess I also "collect" figurines.. but not really. I only buy the ones that I really like and think would look nice on display :33

Nowdays I collect swords for the most part as I always preferred my room to have some decoration in it if I wanted to feel at home. But besides from that there's the occasional lava lamp that I end up getting every so often for the same reason given for the sword hoarding.

I used to collect Yugioh cards. I stopped buying cards, but I still have my collection. In terms of investment, I have no idea how the values fluctuate. I'll eventually end up selling them though. I never really got into the actual game, it was just a collection really.

I used to collect LEGO, but I kinda stopped since they started Hero Factory and stopped the Bionicle sets from selling. Nowadays, I just collect Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Screenshots, screenshots, screenshots galore! If I like a guy that happens to be in a movie/anime/game/etc., you'd best believe I have every frame he's in, even if it's just a hair or toe. I also collect any rare images of them, ever. If it was ever available, I have it. No ifs, ands, or buts.

I used to collect Pokemon cards alot as kid. I still sort of do today, but I'm not as serious about it mainly cause I don't get allowance money or have a job. I guess you can say I collect posters. I go to entertainment and music stores and pick up whatever posters they're offering for free. Also like taking posters out of the magazine I get.

I collect old video games too, mainly old Pokemon games, old DS and Gameboy/GBA ones.

I love collecting things, it's like my drug of choice. Once I buy one collectable I have to buy them all! I've already got a collection of mythical creature statues on a shelf near my bed that I've spent a fortune on collecting, but the feeling I got after collecting them all was completely worth it. Plus I have a pretty kick ass display too.
I use the "I'll have to get them all if I buy one" thing as an excuse for not buying things now though. If I bought everything that I wanted to I would've been in so much debt because I would've had to buy them all.

I collect Pokemon plushies, Pokemon games and other things like that. I used to collect coins but I've stopped.

God, I love collecting things so bad. As a kid I collected:

    - Pokemon cards
    - Crazy bones
    - Harry Potter cards (well, I started but for some reason abandoned that one fairly quickly)
    - Tazos (not sure if this was an Australia-only thing or not so if you don't know what they are Google it XD)
    - Yowies (they're little assemble-able animal toys that came in an egg inside a chocolate... kind of like in Kinder Surprise but better).
    - Dragonball Z disc things that you got inside chip packets
    - Stickers - just all the stickers of everything ever
    - Power Ranger pop-up cards (though there were only like 13 of those lol)

Plus tons of other mini collections that I started but lost interest in soon after lol.

I never did it for investment - the thought of parting with any of my collections pains me too much - it was always for fun and the feeling of satisfaction when you get them all :P

Nope. When I was younger, I'd actually collect receipts. A good way of checking the family spendings, if I do say so myself. But then I lost all of the ones I collected and never bothered to start over.

I'm known to collect old car brochures; hotel directories, pamphlets, notepads, pens, etc.; anime DVD's, figurines, and other merchandise; and business cards. Never got into collecting trading cards or card games or anything like that. Just cards of the business variety xD

As for things I collect in computer data form, I have a lot of anime episodes, music, and fanart (not just Leaf-chan but a whole bunch of other anime cuties :) )

I collect giant microbe plushies because I'm sad and they're incredibly cute (my ex girlfriend gave me my first one and I've loved them ever since <3), and I also collect wooden beaded bracelets/necklaces/etc from friends to remind me of them when I'm lonely and because they look cool n.n

I like to collect. I don't know what it is about collecting, but it makes me very happy. I'm not a hoarder oh God lmao. But I have a fair few collections. When I was younger, I was really avid in collecting Pokemon cards, rocks, and coins. I still have all these collections, though very rarely add to them. The last things I added to each were some cards my sister gave me, can't remember the last rock lol, and the coins I saved from my trip to London, one of which is a London Olympics coin YAY. I also had a huge collection of Mardi Gras beads because my mom and step dad are New Orleans fanatics and would bring us so many back, and when I went, I would buy bags of them for $2 lmao. I liked matching them with my clothes in high school. idk. And then the things I like collecting now are Pokemon plushies and various Nintendo merch, or any video game stuff. My newest plush is Victini! And I recently got some Earthbound stuff. I wouldn't consider this collecting per se, but I like to buy old consoles/handhelds that I don't have. I recently got an NES from my paw paw's house, though I haven't tried to play it...well, we did, but we think it won't work on my tv. And I bought a green Game Boy color a few weeks ago and I looove it. OH AND UM I collect Pokemon main games! I am only missing Green and White 2...I plan on getting Green eventually though~!

So yeah, I wouldn't say I'm too avid in collecting, but surrounding myself with Nintendo stuff does make me happy. XD Not a hoarder, my room is totally clean! I tend to use my plushies and video game swag as room decor. :3

UGH okay I thought of lots of things I have collected in the past so here is a list lol:
    Dum Dum wrappers
"interesting things" (just various things I found interesting as a child, which is stuff I still have)
    Stickers
    Erasers
    Necklaces
    Ty Beanie Babies
    Pokemon marbles
    Pencils
    Dalmatian plushies
Interesting figurines (kinda still do...none match but that's okay!!)
    Yu-Gi-Oh! cards
    Pokemon stamps

Did I say I like to collect? I think I love it judging by all this. XD Apparently!!

I... have a bit of a collecting problem, ahaha. I inadvertently collect video games (I buy them with the intention of playing them, but rarely actually do), I kinda collect books (though I generally do read them), I collect Pokemon cards, I used to collect Magic cards (was a superfluous hobby given that it takes as much money out as the Pokemon TCG, and I don't have the income to justify collecting 2 TCGs at once right now), I sort of collect anime, and I sort of collect Pokemon figurines and plushies. I also passively collect coins, especially the unique American coins out there.

I have way too much stuff, honestly.

There is only one thing I obsessively collect... and that is newspapers.

I just love getting my fix of news so much I literally hoard them if they have articles worth reading.

When I was younger I used to collect McDonald's Happy Meal toys, especially lots of the bright colorful ones they had like Neopets and the several Olympics-based toys.
