    Okay so it's been a while since major changes were made to hstaff hasn't it! How do y'all feel about it? Like ya don't have to get specific about people just like... what does a major change like this make you feel? Excited? Apprehensive? Why?
     
    weirded out lol. Normally a new blue mod is just "oh hi, fun", and a new smod is like "ah cool, hope I can trust them". And that's just because I'm a mod myself; when I wasn't staff I don't think I noticed or cared staff changes much unless it was in my favorite forums.

    But new admins? That's switching out PC's top bosses and planners. When major hq-staff changes happens, what can be noticed around the forums is that stagnant things start moving. This can only be good for us now :3 So I'm definitely excited, even if Gav looks weird as red in my signature hmm.
     
    I actually get happy with major staff changes, especially if a member who I have bonded with and/or know very well becomes a mod, or a mod that I know that has made a great impact on the community becomes a higher staff.

    The latest bunch of higher staff promotions are definitely the ones I've been most pleased with since joining, and while Klippy and Nolafus weren't exactly who I expecting to be the newest smods I still think they did such an exceptional job in their areas that it was definitely deserved. As for Abnegation and Sheep, I pretty much had good expectations for them because of the hard work they did during their time on staff plus both are also very friendly and helpful that it was definitely well-needed in the admin department.

    I can say that any future new staff additions to come this year and in the future will definitely be getting me excited, because I think the forum's now entering an era of staff that's full of much friendlier faces than ever before, especially compared to the team that were there when I was new.

    I love this new batch of hstaff. Tbh, if there were gonna be admin promos, I'd expect Gav, since he's part of the main dev team, and Sheep, which I know admins 3589256124526512662308562 Pokemon forums now plus one. What really threw me off are the smods haha. Don't get me wrong Klippy and Slayr are wonderful, and I didn't expect them to become smods so soon haha, but then again Razor Leaf became admin in just 3 years of his PC life lmao

    I cant think up of any other thing tbh. They are just great. I can't wait to see their insights on PC now that they are seated up there lel :3

    This is pretty much how I feel right here. I mean, when all the major changes happened... I was like, "whoa fuck. O_O" because they were just so many changes. Don't get me wrong or anything though. I think it's rather exciting. It's a nice change of pace, especially when the new year is still fresh in people's minds. Also, Klippy's been around for quite along time on PC though... so it doesn't surprise me that he became an s-mod.

    But anyway... congrats to the new staffers. :D
     
    Congrats to them yes, I sorry but as a new-ish member I can't really look up to the new admin. Don't get me wrong abnegation and sheep are amazing, but I know them, they haven't been admin for too long so I just can't look up to them. People like shenanigans, they have been around (and admin) for longer then i have been around, so I look up to them. But this is my opinion

    It'll come with due time. It's the same with any relationship really. Time is the key factor.
     
    Zehn, it takes time. I've been around since shenanigans was a regular member and watched him grow to a staff admin within a few years - you'll adjust after a while. We already talk and are friends, right? [:

    That aside, I'm really really surprised but in a good way. Just a few years ago the higher staff ranks seemed very exclusive but now we're getting all these promotions and they appear so much more accessible. Love the movement. <3
     
    I'm definitely with Sheep here. I've often adjusted well to the staff changes and while it may take slower for some people to get used to I'm sure you'll be able to cope with the new generation soon enough.

    But also, it's hard to believe higher staff promotions are not the same as they used to be, but I'm happy with how the promotions are coming along now and it'll be cool to see who ends up getting promoted from here on in.

    I know, and we are friends, I know it will take time, I was just saying how I feel now :3
     
    I was really excited as the promotions were happening, but as things dwindled down, so did that... yeah.

    I'm actually really happy that I foresaw the turn of events when PC is in this rare position. The selections were all so logical, it was meant to be.

    I knew that as soon as Razor quit and Jess demoted herself, PC was going to enter a new generation and I think that the new admin promotions really will change the face of the forum.

    Gavin's CSS and coding skills are one of the key traits he has that will make him successful in the job, because to excel at using the Admin CP you need to have good knowledge on all the tricky coding he's got lots of years of experience with it behind him.

    As for Janna, she'll probably be remembered in my books as one of the friendliest staff members in living memory of PC's existence, because it's not that often you get admins with a personality as adorable as hers, and also she had admin experience at other forums so that also played a part here. I had pretty much been looking up to her ever since her old days as the mod of TWL, and I would not have gotten active in the section myself if it hadn't have been for her, because she's such an influence to a lot of members here. And I don't think I would have stayed as active as I am now so she played a big part in what shaped my current activity state.

    Higher staff promotions may be rare but they're well celebrated, but one day I hope to see the fateful moment that Shawn aka Dragon eventually becomes a smod... because he's done so much and I would love to see it pay off. But for now I'm more anticipated for regular mod promotions given we had what will be known as the "big hstaff promotion of Friday the 13th".
