Serious Old Age

I would like to actually have a serious discussion about this, so no shitposts, please.

What do you consider to be "old age"?

55+

My grandmas are in their early 50's, parents only just turned 40, and I date up to the mid 30's. Would be weird to think of any of these things as old right now. Though 55+ is typically when people hope to retire by, so I assume that to be "old".

You people saying 30's are making me cry.
For me, 65+

65 and over? I consider old age around and a bit after the normal retirement age. :')

kinda depends, my opinion based on social relevance and depending on where you are in life phase, like where you're expected to be, married, kids etc. without any of those things, I'd say 25. maybe 24. I know that's when people I've known started worrying about or being conscious of their age.

55-60+ probably. I'm turning 30 in 2 months and still look pretty much the same as when I did when I was 18 (and feel mostly the same, except having some more life experience), so it's harder for me to view that age as 'old.' My interests haven't changed at all either. Teenage me definitely would've thought 30+ was old though probably haha.
