It was probably Ivysaur and shenanigans and abnegation overthrowing the regime. You had a vision.

All I specifically remember was that Geoff left and that Jake stayed, but for some reason the latter's username was his actual name. Steve was nowhere to be seen and all the quitters got italics with a sparkly background

Speaking of ancient cats, I have a 20-year-old tom named Puffers who is absolutely ♥♥♥♥ing adorable and nothing will change it no matter how old he gets and I just love holding and compressing him because he is very cute and omg he's just adorable <3 <3 <3

I even have a special tone I talk to my cats to, and it exemplifies how cute I think they are.

When I was a kid my rabbit killed my guinea pig.

The last time I ever suffered a major pet death was in 2012, the day after I ended up quitting my tertiary education course due to getting bullied by a classmate. The only other ones were just countless numbers of fish, which died in pretty weird circumstances.

And lol at that dream there, Alex. It's odd how I have dreams about PC on my own as well.

Yeah I dunno mate. Just attacked it and clawed its eye out and we had to put it down from there. As well as the rabbit, can't be having violent animals!

Sadly, this reminds me of a time in my childhood, when I thought turtles were just herbivores. We had two.

We put several fish in the tank. I loved that we had so many new pets.

I woke up the next morning to only one fish left (miraculously he survived in this shark turtle tank for several months, but he couldn't escape them forever).

That's strange, our rabbit and guinea pig were best friends. Were they raised together?

Now I have 2 cats and they're both a year old, they're a handful.

One time I bought a lizard I named Johnathan and ended up giving it a concussion because I didn't understand mortality at age four. I felt really bad afterwards.

I also had a turtle named Johnathan who escaped his tank one day, never to be seen until one day when we were moving out of the house my mother found him in our closet at an enormous size - a weight that would be hard to carry. When I knew him he could fit in the palm of my hand :P

Also for some reason I always named my pets Johnathan when I was little, and it was never shortened to John or Johnny or whatever. Dunno why, stopped doing it when I got my first cat Milo.

On a side note, I find it really confusing that my therapist engages me with blatant intellectual elitism in our discussions, and likes to talk a lot about politics and recent happenings in the news that spark controversy. Even still, I do feel like I have more of a meeting of the minds with him than anyone else - my mother will often drift off into baseless anecdotal stuff she heard at work, my father always defaults at some point or another to partisan political nonsense, and one time my sister actually seriously said that it's impossible to sue a corporation without public approval. I was like wow

I had a hamster named Pepper. A construction worker brought his son over once while we were getting tile put into the house and he left Pepper's cage open. I hated that kid. He also stole some of my N64 games and never owned up to it, but I caught him snooping around my room once.

Anyway, Pepper was gone for almost three months, I believe. Then one day, I found Pepper crawling out of my closet and scooped him up as relief washed over me. He was my little buddy. Then we were moving and came into the house to find him curled in a ball dead. We put him in his little plastic rolling ball and buried him in the backyard.

I loved that lil' guy.

I'm sorry to hear that. Rabbits and guinea pigs have a completely different body and acoustic language which could lead to some misunderstandings between them.

Two of my pets died in my arms. At least I was with them in their last seconds.

My sister owns a rabbit that's kept at our dad's place, and a hedgehog she (or rather we) keep here. The former is cute but to me is unknown territory, and the latter makes my mother's room smell like she just disintegrated someone with lime and acid. Eww :s

My landlady also owns a bearded dragon that she carries everywhere along with her three dogs; one is a long-haired half-Terrier half-chihuahua age 3, the second is some sort of chihuahua mutt (also long-haired) aged 9, and the third is a purebreed chihuahua aged 6 who also has a lot of fur. Right now the last one is shaven and looks way less cuter than with all his fur >:

I adopted an old hedgehog from someone who didn't want his young children to experience death just yet. She was 4 or 5-ish, so for several months, I took care of her, made her comfortable, and one evening after I had a shower, she was gone. She was snuggled up and at her final rest. My fiancé and I buried her the next morning. I knew what I was getting myself into when I agreed to take her and I managed well. During her last few days, she got weak and I fed her by hand and gave her water from a dropper, kept her warm in a blanket and carried her around the apartment we lived in at the time. I still miss her at times, but that's life.

Gosh that's sad. :[ There are lots of negatives to owning a pet that involve money, but I think the animal passing away is the worst one by far. I don't know how I would handle my own pet dying, especially if it was after years of bonding with it.

It's really hard to have to end a kitten's life after stepping on it on the way to the bathroom in the dark so it doesn't have to continue flailing its head that's pointed 15 degrees downward from its chest. It's also insanely difficult to have to watch a cat die with your sister screaming like a newborn with no control of her emotions while you're still taking it in. It's also not fun to find your cat strangled dead from that same person fooling around with them and some string, nor is it at all easy to find a kitten crushed from a CRT monitor because its mother moved her litter into the junk room.

Those stories you guys tell about your pets dying in your arms or you finding them deceased without harm are such sweet deaths. I've only had one of those and I didn't even get to see her since she was in a neighbor farmer's barn where she hunted mice, which I tried to get to but ended up getting electrocuted by his fence and stepping in a bunch of cow♥♥♥♥, crossing a makeshift wooden ramp. My cat Puffers is damn lucky to not be like the other felines I've had; he's three and a half years older than me and is still healthy – eating, sleeping, and prowling like he did ten years ago.

I think the postives outweigh the negatives. I couldn't live without a pet. And that's why I prefer pets with a longer lifespan. For example, I think that rats are nice, but they usually only live around 2-3 years. This is way too short for me so I don't think I'll ever get one.

The lady with the bearded dragon sounds awesome though!

My first pet was hampster named snowball because he was so white and fluffy when he curled up he looked like a snowball...yeah

Guys, seriously, rabbits are no joke.

They castrate each other, for pity's sake. CASTRATION.

So do some rather questionable religious groups, but I doubt many people take them very seriously. No, not at all…
