Holy crap, I'm so late to the new DCC. No lag yet, hopefully? I hated that so much. Still do.

Lag does tend to get pretty bad in these threads after a while. None yet, though.

I would have laughed so hard if you had just double posted. Anyway, I thought that PC had a server upgrade a while ago to help stop all the double posting. Did I miss something?
 
It wasn't to stop the double posting, it was for the constant downtime. Ironically, it was that same server upgrade that caused the double posting glitch to occur.
 
I actually never got extremely angry during the double posts craze. I'd just sigh and delete one.
 
Ehh, not gonna lie, when I was a moderator, it got annoying seeing reports of double posts. :x The whole lag thing sorta kept me away from the DCC in general, since I hated having to deal with it, derp
 
I don't understand why people would report an accidental double post. Just ignore it if the poster didn't already delete it themselves, guys!
 
I've only had one double post. And since then everything runs pretty smoothly. The only time I double post now is never. I reported a double post once because it wasn't just a double post, it was 7 posts in a row of the same exact thing. And it had been there for a couple of hours. Without any notice. I don't report things often/at all.
 
I occasionally get double posts because the system sometimes has a case of the hiccups. Really, double posting shouldn't even be an infraction considering how often it happens by accident.

Even if done on purpose, warn them of a possible ban once and tell them to stop being an attention ho. Problem solved.
 
Yeah the against-the-rules double posting isn't the same post twice - it's posting different things one after the other. Anyway I think the DCC is going to be remade more often to reduce it until it's fixed.

That was the plan, if I recall correctly.
 
It doesn't seem to re-post anything if you use the advanced posting feature or if you close the webpage before it reloads... strange.

Edit: on a separate note, this is the thread's 256th post! (this is the max value of an 8 bit byte if you start at 0)

Yeah it only double posts on Quick Reply. I just really, really am lazy though.

I had one a couple pages ago, and even though it merged I still left a glaring note of it in all caps. :o

Makes me feel unnoticed. :(
