Thank you very much for confirming the Johto reference! :) Awesome job to the Bulbapedia editor who added the gallery for concrete proof... Yeah, that reference/lady looks familiar; I think I remember reading the "Johto" a long time ago but never paid much mind to it.. In my recent temporary restarts of Pokemon Ruby/Emerald, I think I usually skip that house/lady (usually in a rush to hear "Battle! Team Magma/Aqua Grunt" in Petalburg Woods or examining some other quirky thing), so no wonder that I don't recall her. XD (ugh; I feel like such a Hoenn fan failure. T_T)

And LOL about Brendan "stretching". XD

I got the impression he was stretching as well. That's an odd admiration stance, if he is taking in the beauty of those... trees. And if he moved from Johto, he's seen that kind of thing in Ilex Forest already, anyway. :P
 
When I first saw that screenshot, I was admiring the beauty as well, so that could be what Brendan's doing, haha. It would also make sense that he's stretching, because, I mean, who knows how long he was in the back of that truck for? I'm sure they'll reference Johto, considering it is the character's home region.

No, that wouldn't be why Johto starters would be ingame, if anything, it would be because it was in Emerald after you completed the Hoenn Pokédex :p

not to bash your idea or anything, it just sounds...kind...of...silly xD
 
If any other region gets new Mega evolutions, I want it to be Unova. They are completely left out at this point, and it doesn't feel right with Kanto and Hoenn bagging at least ten each and Unova remaining with zero. D: Johto doesn't have too many either, so while I don't think it's likely they give Typhlosion, Feraligatr, and Meganium Megas, it's important to remember anything is possible in the world of Pokemon!

I was talking about this earlier today I'm another thread:) They are bound to give us the other starters as megas but I doubt in hoenn. I want to know when and how we will get them though. I'm still don't see any unova megas coming anytime soon. I almost would say it will be gen 7 before we see unova megas. Still, the way GF is going this year, it might not be long before we see them:)

If this is anything to go by, it appears they retained that little house gimmick from the original games which had Brendan always living in the house on the left and May living in the house on the right regardless who was the protagonist or rival/friend. The aesthetic differences with the bedrooms are pretty much more noticeable this time around.
 
Man, the graphics look spectacular! I love how intricate the rooms are, there's a lot of details compared to older games. I wonder if the chest on each of their bookshelves has any relevance, but it could simply be for show. Either way, not sure how one couldn't be extremely hyped about ORAS after seeing those screenshots! o:
 
What if other Pokemon get Primal Regressions, like Relicanth, fossil pokemon and the Regis? Tho I doubt it's likely, but it could happen

It'd be amazing if you could use these things to store money and items, like how you do it in Legend of Zelda series. Though, chances of it actually happening aren't very likely, since GameFreak doesn't usually like to borrow others' idea, haha. I mean, they had definitely done it in the past, but they seemingly try to keep this sort of stuff to a minimum, though.
 
That would be cool if we could that, decorating our rooms that is. I like how the mom would randomly buy you stuff and you would get a phone call saying so too. Just imagine if the Holocaster makes an appearance in this one and you can actually get messages from the gym leaders, mom, and other key people like the babysitter or something like that.

Notice the book on the desk of each one? That is most likely the manual we always get every generation and will take the place of the PC (which I don't recall if there was one in the originals...I'll check Emerald).

Maybe Norman could do it! That would force him to be more involved in his son's adventure anyway, haha. He could even give you short battling tips when you collect money, true to his gym leader title. As I've said before, always felt like he should have much more influence on his own blood becoming a trainer, which is his current profession.
 
Well I just replayed Emerald and saw that the PC was there... it's purpose was to decorate the room. Now that it's gone maybe we won't be able to decorate our room. Or they changed the way we do it. Or Norman and the mom will buy it for the MC at some point later on.
 
I just noticed something too. Remember, you still had to set the time in RSE? I don't think that little sidequest be back in ORAS :( But not really that important I guess, maybe the player could sleep instead?
