It did seem to pick up after seventh gym, yeah. Though, I feel it would have been nice if entire game were like this, or at least similar. This would have kept us on our toes and stay interested throughout, without feeling anything negative, so to speak.

I seriously feel like the only one who actually likes XY's story. >_>

Or to put it easily, the whole genocide thing that Team Flare goes for, and what with AZ being a king of 3,000 years with the ultimate weapon. Admittedly most of the plot feels short on detail until after the seventh Gym when everything just goes crazy.
*hasn't played X/Y and knows next to nothing but doesn't care about spoilers*

Isn't that a bit alike Team Galactic wanting to blow up the world?

I thought Team Galactic's goal (or Cyrus', should I say) was to create another world and start everything over, was it not? Because in Platinum he says that he wants the character to wake up in his world someday once it's created.

Team Galactic's goal was sort of far-fetched and unrealistic, if you ask me. In order to create a new world, they would have to take control of Dialga and Palkia first and foremost, which should be nearly impossible in itself; they're both legendaries, and quite powerful ones at that. Plus, there is also Giratina they didn't precisely seem to know about in Diamond and Pearl; if they were close to success in any way, even if there was no one else there to stop these guys, it must have done something to keep things from happening and whatnot.

Personally, I'm more fond of tasks organizations such as Team Rocket set out, as they're not over-top; primarily, their mission is to steal Pokémon, do what they'd like with them, and make themselves rich (or something along the lines). This group has been my most favorite from get-go, and still is.

There might not be any other organizations precisely like Rocket, unfortunately, but if you ask me, would be nice if they were to put together one!

Well, Team Rocket did do things like cut off Slowpoke's tails, and they wanted to control Pokémon with a radio signal, which isn't completely innocent. I still think it got nasty with the later teams and legendary Pokémon, but Rocket still isn't to be taken lightly I would say.

Ah, right, they did do those things, haha. Even so, their primary objective were still rather straightforward, and not as complex as future teams'. If they could decide on introducing another organization as simple as them, I can't precisely speak for others, but personally, I know I definitely wouldn't mind. To me, less difficult some things are to interpret, more realistic the game seems to be, so to speak.

I think Gen 1 Team Rocket and Gen 2 Team Rocket aren't comparable. While in RBY they focused more on being a mafia by controlling the black market (Fossils in Mt. Moon) and taking influence in Pokemon technology (Silph Co.) in Gen 2 they desperately tried convincing Giovanni to return in order to regain their power, but ultimately failed.

I mean there's a difference between taking over a company that develops hightech stuff, including Master Balls, that are able to catch every Pokemon and taking over a Radio Tower only to announce to be back. Sure you could say that the reason for taking over Radio Tower was in order to send those signals that make Pokemon supposedly evolve, but in the end, that never happened. I feel, Gen 2 Team Rocket wasn't nearly as organized, probably because their leader wasn't as much of a leader as Giovanni was.

Was there even a proper leader presented in Gen 2? I don't remember.

I've always considered the last guy you fight on Radio Tower (that one with the Houndoom) to be the leader. He even got a name in the remakes. Although I've forgotten what his name was...was it Proton? Or was that someone else?

Anyway, if I recall correctly he says that he'll disband Team Rocket after you beat him, which is why I think of him as being the leader.

Archer was his name, Proton was another admin. I say the same because the final guy in the Sevii Islands has a similar team in FireRed and he's the leader there.

I agree that Team Rocket's task of making their return was a bit unorganized, but it was still something simplistic, though--it was to make a statement that they are back. Although they weren't quite successful (they were stopped before they were able to get things completely done), I'm sure things weren't as difficult to interpret for majority of fans. If other organizations' goals had been similar as theirs--straightforward, something that we could imagine others doing in real world, things that we could relate to--I believe it would have been more good in long run.

Anyhow, have any of us completed playing ORAS yet? Me, I'm almost done; I've defeated gym number seven, and am making my way up to Sootopolis. I was stuck in Lilycove for a couple of days, as I didn't know what I should be doing; visited Magma-Aqua hideout place a couple of times, but nobody seemed to have been there. Then, friend told me to visit Slateport to trigger the event, and it finally did the trick.

I didn't pay much attention to their dialogues, unfortunately; if I had, I wouldn't have had to go through this dilemma. Ah well, it's really not a big deal.

O_O Wow, I'm still between Slateport and Mauville catching Pokémon. I don't even have three badges yet :( I've been really busy lately so that's mostly why, but it's really disappointing that I haven't been able to put more time into it. Completing the Pokédex slows it down quite a bit too, but with my staycation coming up next week, I should be able to get a pretty large chunk of it done without any setbacks.

As I mentioned in the ORAS forum at least twice, yes, I did beat the game already and completed the Delta episode. And I transferred a lot of 5 IV extras I had in X that I got from breeding, such as two Ralts, an Eevee (which I actually evolved into Sylveon before I beat the league but didn't use then), a Venipede, Bagon, Deino, and a couple others, mostly because I haven't gotten to getting ready for breeding in this game yet. Once I had access to the Battle Resort, the very first thing I did was use some BP that I got off of Bank to teach Hyper Voice to my Sylveon and Ralts, which was nice.

It's still a day until they release it in Europe and even then I won't be getting my version before Christmas. Until then I'll try to get the last couple of Pokemon in my X version. I'm already at 713 different species with a couple legendaries left. It's sad, though, that you can't use events as substitutes for non event Pokemon, you _have_ to get every non event Pokemon for the National Pokedex/Shiny Charm.

There's a lot of Pokémon that I would like to have transferred from X and Y, but unfortunately, it seems that my new router isn't too fond of Nintendo products, so it's not connecting; have tried 3DS and Wii U, with no luck at all, as well as my sister's DSi. I've tried various things to fix, but sadly, nothing seemed to have worked. Every other device connects successfully, though, so that's good.

Also, I've defeated second Elite Four member couple of hours ago! They were quite tough, actually; perhaps even more than they were in original Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. However, I've been avoiding trainer battles a lot throughout my play-through so I would get things done quick, and therefore, my team wound up to be slightly under-trained, so this could also be a reason as to why I'm finding them challenging.

I'll be battling Glacia sometime tomorrow, but hopefully, she won't be as tough; my Machamp would have chance to get through most of her team members with Dynamic Punch.

ORAS for Europe today, finally. n_n

Well done, you finally endured the extra week so let's hope you have fun with your games, bud.

Aside from that, I just learned Gardevoir's Mega Stone is postgame-only, so there goes another great Mega option for my team. I've been using Diantha's Gardevoir in X/Y a lot lately so I guess I might give something else a shot in OR/AS because I want to try and use stuff I never used but also include some shout-outs to my original Ruby team.

I really need to know which Mega Stones are postgame-only so that way some of us could plan teams a bit better. And I think I'll already have a Fairy-type covered in Mega Altaria (at least I can get its Mega Stone before E4) but the 6th slot is usually the hardest to decide. Maybe I might actually use Latias on my team for the story as well as for soaring?

Also, maybe I might make Kyogre a permanent postgame team member because... I love how you're shown riding on it while surfing or diving. I'd surely love to ride on a Kyogre, since I plan to use Alpha Sapphire as my main and I do love Water-types.

I've considered having a couple of legendaries on my team (not the non-Uber kind), but wound up leaning against; we're not allowed to use them outside of in-game, anyway, in most cases, and as their powers are much higher, they have tendency to make things a little too easy. Though, if I did go with it, it likely would have been Groudon; rest of my team members likely would have consisted of fire- and grass-types, so they would be able to take advantage of the sunlight.

Currently, my most valuable party member would be Swampert. I've gotten a hold of its mega-stone recently, and thanks to that, this Pokémon performs quite wonderfully. It's already good on its original form--it's could withstand a ton of hits, and strike back even harder--but with its mega-form, things get higher by about ten extra level.

I'm pretty fond of its appearance, too! It really suits its battling style, if you ask me. In this regard, I believe they have done a wonderful job.

Hmm I'm still waiting for alpha sapphire to buy, cause my parents have agreed to buy it on my birthday, and a few days feels and long months to me and yeah when a legendary pokemon is in team, whether its any game it makes things too easy, well not in competitive battling though, but having a legendary in the team seems a boost for anyone

I have to brag guys. I got Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers or both SKY and TIME, and Pokemon Ranger Guardian signs.
I've been looking for them for forever, and I finally got them for only 25$ lol :D
