Knowing that you're a fan of the Donkey Kong Country games:

What was your reaction when Cranky Kong was revealed to be playable in Tropical Freeze during the 2013 video game awards?

Which is your favorite level throughout the whole series?

Do you miss the Kremlings?

:D

I was excited. We've never gotten to play as Cranky, but I wouldn't exactly call him playable in single-player. I wish Nintendo had allowed the split characters from the go. It'd be neat to play solo Diddy/Dixie/Cranky. :P

Oh, that's tough. I really quite enjoy a lot of Tropical Freeze's levels, but I would say Bramble Scramble is in my top levels of all-time, as well as one of the original game's minecart missions. :)

Yes! I really like the Kremlings and wish they were more prominent in DK games. I think Nintendo does their DK franchise a disservice when they exclude K. Rool and Dixie from Smash especially.

What are some things you could never ever see yourself do for a living, as a job?

Working a menial 9-to-5. I worked retail for two years and I really didn't enjoy it. I love being creative and making things come alive, so I really would love to work in a creative writing industry, whether it be books or television or movies. I don't know if that dream can be real though.

I also really just want to work at a nicely paid job. I struggled to survive for the two years in retail thanks to a fairly low pay for the city I was in and it suuuucks to have to barely have money. I couldn't do a single fun thing and it was a real drain on my life. So anything that pays well and can afford me time to enjoy the world and life. :)

If you could be any video game character and live in their universe, who would you be and why?

When did you get your pup?

If you could create any new forum on the site, what would you create and why?

Oh boy. Diddy Kong. I love those effing monkeys, man. They are just my favorite. Monkeys are my favorite animal and I think playing Donkey Kong Country as a kid contributed to that. If not Diddy, then perhaps I'd be Shepard from Mass Effect to kick it with the adorable Tali, awesome Garrus and Thane, and assortment of other characters. If not him, then I'd just want to be in Rapture from Bioshock before all the trouble and in a universe where splicing and all that doesn't exist. I loved that city.

We got her in 2011 the week that Marz came to visit me. So the first time I met her was with him and so we hung out in my room playing Civ IV together and she just chilled with us.

I'd want to create a Lego area. ;) It wouldn't be active at all and it'd mainly be for myself to post in, but I wish I could talk to more people about Lego.

I lol'd at the Legos idea. Admins, make it happen.

Who is an artist you are just dying to see live?

You're training to be a cop right? How did you come to that pursuit, and if you could do it all over again would you have stuck with the same career option? If I was wrong about the cop placement then apply this to whatever career you're currently pursuing.

How long do you think the lifespan of this current generation of consoles will last, and what do you think the next generation of consoles/gaming will be like?

Kings of Leon. I've had two opportunities to buy tickets, but they go very pricey quickly and I'm not gonna buy from a scalper. But I'll see them the next change I get. In tha same vein, I need to see Roger Federer play tennis before he retires or I'll be devastated.

I am not really training for that any longer. I'm still in the hiring process for two, but I am looking for other careers now. I decided it's really not to my taste and I don't think I currently have the type of personality for that job. Right now, I'm waiting for a job application to open in March and also considering something in the movie industry if I can find it. Just waiting right now, since that's all I can do. To answer your other question, I think I would pick a different degree if I could go back. My major isn't useless, but I will have a harder time on jobs that want certain majors.

I think this generation will be considered a dud. Last generation can't be beaten, I feel, and the quality of content coming out right now is barely close to what we got from last gen. I think the Wii U is the only successful console at this point and it's struggling still, but it's got the library of games. Xbox One and PS4 are similar enough that buying one or the other doesn't make a difference save a few exclusives which makes picking one fairly moot if you don't care about those exclusive titles. Wii U's library is pretty much entirely exclusive, which is why I like it. The rest of the crap I can get on PC and I love my new PC (plus I can play with a Xbox controller).

Me too!! That's why I'm thinking about trying to get a PhD student position now, because research would be one of the ways I could live my life without feeling like my brain was growing mold. That, and writing a book or five 8)

Do you have any ideas for novels brewing in your head? Maybe you have something written down even?

What is your honest opinion about texting while driving? wink wink

Have you actually ever experienced a snowstorm before?

Have you played the Telltale Games GoT game? If yes, what are your thoughts on it? If not, what the fuck is wrong with you?

I have a few. :) I've started writing out ideas for characters for a modern fantasy novel which brings mythology to the real world. I don't really have much beyond that, but I'd love to get started on it before long and maybe try to get a publisher interested if I could. I'm not sure my writing is up to snuff at times though. :P

My other idea is more realistic and it's basically a coming-of-age story that I would try to fit my own life experiences into. Basically a teenager trying to find his way in life and meeting cool people, experiencing things, etc. I'm more excited to write this one than the other though, cause it's something I feel like I'm still going through and trying to find my way.

How about you? :)

And yes, the idea of wasting my life away with no purpose or enjoyment keeps me up at night. It's partly why I switched career choices. I'd rather work a menial job for a short few years and prepare myself to get into a good field than just do something I'm not excited about.

I will look at my phone at stop lights if I get a text that I might need an answer for, like asking someone if they wanted food or whatever. The photo I sent you was in a parking lot, tyvm. ;)

Not really to the extent you have. We've had snow and it's been nice and at least a few inches high, but not a severe one. It happened overnight as well, so I didn't get to enjoy it.

I haven't because I rarely buy games at full-price anymore. I got Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us during the Steam Sale at low prices, but I 100% WANT TT GoT. It looks great. :P

And there's a lot that's wrong with me.

Which is your favorite videogames genere?, and which is your least favorite one?.

What kind of music do you like?.

I suppose I really like side-scrollers, but I play almost every genre. I love some RPGs, action-FPS, TPS, TBS, racing, RTS, etc. :) I would say my least favorite are JRPGs. I never find myself sticking with them long.

I love all sorts, just like with games. A few of my favorite artists/bands are Kings of Leon, Eminem, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, and Foals. :D

What is your favourite and least favourite game or series then?
You like a lot of different music which is awesome, but what music do you dislike?

Sorry for the generic questions that may or may not have been asked, I just didn't have it in me to scroll through all these pages today.

My favorite series is the Donkey Kong Country series, followed by the Animal Crossing games, then Mass Effect. :)

Least favorite series...maybe Metal Gear or Final Fantasy. Never enjoyed either.

I don't like much heavy metal or songs with screaming. :P

I appreciate the questions either way. :)

It's interesting to see that your lest favourite series are two of the most popular around. Why do you dislike them?

I just never felt interested in either. I tried several FF games and none of them appealed to me. :/ Metal Gear, I never liked the controls or the mechanics of the games.

Congratulations, you've been accepted into Hogwarts! Which house would you belong to and why?

What do you think the biggest challenge for a let's player is?

What is your opinion on the legal drinking age? Do you think it should be higher, lower, or stay the same as it is now?

If we were to do a co-op LP, what would you consider for us to play?

Speaking LPs, any ideas for your next one?

What's the worst game you've ever played? Like not just something you couldn't get into, but legitimately bad and you wouldn't recommend for anyone to play.

:>

Hufflepuff probably, but I like Gryffindor. Hufflepuff = hard work, patience, and loyalty and I hopefully capture at least some of those. :)

Finding a niche. There's a lot of people out there trying to do it and if you aren't that special or charismatic, it won't do much.

It's fine where it's at. I think alcohol is a waste of time and more than one beer or two is too many for me (since I don't really drink), so I don't think any younger is smarter. We're all pretty dumb still at 18-21 and even older, so no need to exacerbate that.

What is your favorite part of the MC server and why is it White Mage?

Cats or dogs?

What is your favorite movie of all time?

It's White Mage. Because he's awesome.

Dogs. Not a fan of cats at all beyond the occasional pet here and there. :P

Favorite movie...that's tough. Can I give a few?

Gone Girl, True Grit, Gran Torino, Drive, The Guard, SuperBad

Animal Crossing or Viva Pinata. Those are the two I really want to play with you.

I'm doing PayDay now with Marz, gonna be doing some Minecraft stuff, then maybe Amnesia. :P

Honestly? I don't know. I tend to avoid really bad games and never waste my money if I can. I didn't enjoy Final Fantasy IV or VII though. :P
