6th Gen Possible release date.

But the exact week offset doesn't match that, and given it is Pokémon I'd say it's less to try and make as many sales, as Pokémon is generally just going to sell well anyway. That alone wouldn't explain the delay for Europe (and maybe Australia + others).
I think it's a safe assumption that it would be released on the eshop on the same day; not sure why it wouldn't. Hasn't affected other releases staggered depending on country after all.

And do you think that Canana's e-shop will also have the game on november 21? Do they usually get the games on their e-shop on the same day as US does?

I live in Australia so I cannot say for sure, but going by experiences with the Australian e-shop... they should get the game in their e-shop the same day it's available for retail there. Idk how similar they are to the US though, someone else would need to answer that.

The lack of a date clarified for canada yet is odd, but then Australia also didn't get announced before. I personally expect canada to have the same date as the US.


On that note, Australia and New Zealand are getting it on the 21st, some sites reported it and it says so on Nintendo's website too if you poke around. Hum. Guess I'll just preorder it and pick up a day after release.
 
So when we will actually get Canada's release date? There is an official Canadian Pokemon site?
 
Was just reading this and saw that the release date for me will be 28th all because some parts broke the release date. This is pretty bad... I actually booked the week off work starting from the 23rd November in preparation for the games now to find I have to wait longer.

I think the punishment is a bit steep to be honest, guess I will just have to avoid as much info as I can... going to be really hard being off work that week though just because they are my favourite games, and I wanted to play them all week. lol

I already covered this earlier in the thread. Canada = U.S. on these things. It's called the North American release.

Mexico? No idea.

Poor Mexico usually get's left out of NA even though it is part of the continent... most have to import from the U.S. or Canada I think. Though there are a lot of fans from Mexico as I've seen a lot online. They should really spread into the developing nations instead of just the developed nations. I think Eastern Europe has to endure the same thing as Mexico despite being Europe...

I did hear that Nintendo was trying to enter the markets of developing nations more than it already has, so hopefully one day we'll have more of the "World" in a world wide release.

Now it seems like we're once again confused about the Canadian release date, but if they do get the 28th like Europe does it seems like our theory of "punishing those who broke X & Y street dates early" has been proven to be true. But still, very interesting article.

Well, my answer to that is this: what did I do to deserve to have to wait while everyone in the U.S. plays a week early?
 
Has the australian release date as the 21st been confirmed by a reliable source? Some Australian members on here couldn't find where it says so. So far Bulba has it, but that is only semi-reliable.

@ Cyclone You know I feel bad that I wished Canada and Italy's game stores would get punished after XY was released early...it feels like my wish may have come true in a way I didn't expect or wanted it too. Must be how Maxie and Archie felt after waking up the legends :(
 
Could Australia have the same date as Europe after all? If so then it proably involves the E-shop not crashing. Considering Japan and the U.S.A. are their top markets for Pokémon they proably chose those first. Europe, Canada, and Australia may have to wait. I hope not. Australia and Canada will hopefully have the 21st as their release date too.

I heard that too, but I haven't found any official sources other than fan sites saying so. Do you have a source for the confirmation?
I'll hate for it to be a rumor and Australians to get their hopes up only to find out it's later.

Regardless of a 28th release for Europe, I'm well happy it's released on a Friday. That is the one day I was hoping the games would release on. :]

It's stated to be the 21st on both Bulbapedia and Serebii.
