It doesn't look like it should be able to fly. It's fat and it's wings look inadequate. Mega Salamence is pretty cool looking though.

It's a bit minimal in design while not exactly doing that much other than being vaguely colourful. Could have been further developed otherwise. Seems like a bit of a placeholder among the earlier water-types, G/S probably had a few who were better.

Not that great a Pokémon by itself, but a bit of a humorous design in some ways, and it had an interesting evolution in Togetic. Having it be a 'Fairy-type' in Gen. II and having its final evolution be Togekiss might just push things to the point where nobody would ever play those or even acknowledge them again. They didn't just do that covertly, did they?
