Are we assuming that whomever induces the Poison effect is Rocket and not explorer/aqua/magma? Since Rocket's are evil, and typically use poison-types, I feel like this is a pretty safe assumption.

So this means Nimsy is not Rocket. And if she uses frenzy plant, I don't see her being Magma or Aqua either.

edit: I can;t confirm this, because I don't know for sure. But I am part poison-type myself (haven't mentioned it, but I am Ariados <3). Nowhere in my PM did it state that I could not be poisoned because of my typing. :/

Speaking of the Rockets' night attacks though, is it just me or does it seem like the nights have been kind of calm (not counting the one that got skipped)? Is it because they're building the machine and can't attack? I don't think the day posts have shown any actual attacks since Ketsu died besides Ulli's and the poisoner's, and it doesn't seem like anyone's been confused lately (again, probably because it was Draskk).

That's right.. I forget that could apply to poison too.. just to make sure you can't be immune to a mafia hit I guess? That is assuming the person using a poisonous attack is mafia, but it's really safe to assume that since jd was poisoned early game.

Well, I am assuming whoever poisons at night is a rocket...
But regretfully Nimsy/Childe did get poisoned by Gunners metronome attack yesterday >.<

I don't consider "not knowing a lot" a reason to keep silent. Most people don't know a lot, but talking is the thing that enables us to guess who's inno and who's not. ...I mean, you have been attacking a lot of people that most others didn't point out - Ullion on d1 (was attacked by two other people d1-d4), Daydream on d2 (noone else attacked him), gimmepie on d3 (was attacked by two other people d1-d4) and Golgari (was attacked by one other person d1-d4) - so I would assume, there's some reasons why you "poked" those players, who hardly anyone else considered, with your 7 attack. But to my distress I can't find any hints in your posts why you choose those players over ones being pointed out.

Talking without knowing anything leads to ignorance -- which is what has also been deterring me from partaking in the day phases. I don't see a reason to bandwagon onto "people who have been pointed out" when I don't trust the intelligence of those who did the pointing (aka people like you).

I disagree. I know hardly anything. My PM told me I'm an explorer, and to hunt down Rockets. It gave me a day attack (constrict, 1 damage) and night shade (9 damage). I shared my stats (other than HP) to the public to share information. Other people joined in. Talking is how we get information. Talking without knowing anything does not lead to ignorance. Not if you talk with a purpose to gain information. Even if other people lie, it can still help because if anything counters what they claimed - then that can help us find someone guilty.

If you don't know anything, does not mean you have to not talk and avoid the other bandwagons by other players. After that post of yours, the main person whose intelligence I'm questioning now is your own. ;)

That, of course, you're not innocent and trying to get snippy with players asking about you, which seems to be a habit.

I believe that by using the power of mathematics and our friend desinishon here, we should be able to figure out a rough estimate of how much damage the Digger machine does!

Now desinishon, you're going to have to be our mathematician, since you're the only one who knows all the details for this to work.

1) Start by looking at all the phase changes and adding up all the damage you've taken from the attacks. Add whatever possible damage you may have taken during the night to that as well. Then you can subtract that from your total health and you'll have your HP before the Digger attack.

2) Based on your reactions to being hit by the Digger, it seems to me you don't know your current HP, AFTER the Digger attack. Take your total health and multiply it by .2 (or just divide it by 5). This is the damage required for you to be in redbar, which is less than one-fifth of your total health. Based on the phase change post, I'd say that you'd hypothetically be in redbar. So by that logic your current HP should be somewhere between 1 and this number.

3) Now if you did the math right, you should be able to subtract your number you got in 2) from your answer in 1) and get a number somewhere around...hm, I'd put my guesstimation at around 50-70 (don't quote me on that, it's actually likely a higher number). This should be a rough estimate of how much HP the Digger does!

Cool, huh? I'll even write out a tl;dr formula for it since I'm so nice.

Amount of Digger damage = (Total health - total amount of attack damage & night damage taken) - (Total health/5)

Remember to follow the order of operations (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply/Divide, Add/Subtract) and you should get a decent estimate!

Actually, jd was poisoned by Gunner's Metronome, if I remember correctly. I haven't finished going back through the earlygame yet so I can't say.

Tinfoil: Gunner doesn't actually have Metronome and is instead a Mafia JOAT. Just a theory (I don't even know if "tinfoil" would be the right way to describe it, maybe a "worst-case scenario" kinda thing?)

Talking without knowing leads to ignorance? I don't see how is that a proper response. This is a mafia game, and the point of the game is that the innocents have no clue of what is going on.

Besides, talking is how you get the information when there are no other clues around in the phase posts. You said it yourself, you're not taking part in the day phases, (aka, you're not helping) and you come and question the intelligence of other players.

I have no information to contribute (and I already have dispensed all information regarding myself) and it's better than spewing ass-pulled speculation like I've seen from some people in this thread. But if your head is way up in your ass, of course I expect these sort of replies. And you expect me to help lost causes lmao

No, I'm saying that the Digger damage is however much HP you had after the attack, MINUS 1/5 of your HP.

For example, let's say you have 100 HP to start. You were hit for 20 during the last few phases, and now you have 80 HP. Then you get hit with the Digger. 1/5 of 100 is 20, your minimum redbar amount. 80 minus 20 is 60, which means the minimum amount of damage the Digger could have hit you for is 60, and the most it could have hit you for is 79.

See you don't have to tell us anything. Just your final answer.

Also worth noting is that I'm basing all of this off the fact that you have no idea what your CURRENT HP is. If you DO know your current HP, you can easily figure out the exact amount which the Digger hit you for.
