In regards to school, whether public, college, whatever. What's the one thing you excel at? What gives you the most trouble? Have these changed over the years?

As for me, I've always struggled with math, I took the longest in the class to learn anything and eventually just started to hide it, mostly to avoid insults.
It wasn't that the teacher's I've had were particularly bad, I was lucky that they were all actually good but I had it conditioned to not try and seek out assistance. I did manage an A in it with one college professor though, because he was amazing.

    Weirdly, I excelled at accounting.

As for my strengths, it was always art, especially in high school where I had a good relationship with my art teacher. In college, my professor told me she was surprised at my skill in graphic design.

    So what about you?

I exceled at history in both high school and college. I always loves studying and analyzing different periods of time.

Science I tend to struggle with the most. While I had good grades for doing the schoolwork, the various science topics themselves are hard for me to understand the first time. In college I took an entomology (study of insects) class and I actually enjoyed it a lot and did well in it.

My best subjects were the social sciences (history, economics, business etc.) - they would always be my highest exam scores by far. I used to be decent at English up until late high school but it was my worst subject. I always found it so difficult to express myself in essays (which was most of my mark) but I loved public speaking. OH I also used to be so bad at subjects that involved practical hands-on applications (e.g. woodwork). I had such a hard time following/executing those types of instructions to the point the teacher once called my parents to be like ??? Is your daughter OK. Thankfully, I never had to do it past the age of 13. I did well at my school subjects for the most part but I also have other factors to thank such as my parents sending me to tutoring for 10+ years to ensure that I had the best opportunity to excel academically.

I always did well with english/writing and other creative classes! History was also pretty good with some exceptions, usually because I was pretty good at writing essays haha. meanwhile math and physics, especially the former, were my absolute weakness. sucked really bad at those and probably still :(

Oh I LOVED my ancient history class! It interested me a great deal, especially different mythologies.

I've generally been able to excel in any classes related to psychology.

I'm terrible at math and sciences. More like anything related to math.

English classes. Breezed through them while usually my classmates struggled. At the same time the inverse was true for Filipino classes (literally my native language).

Mfw I'm better at speaking a colonial language than my own.

I think for me it was less that I was great at any particular subject and more that I had a good enough memory back then to easily regurgitate whatever info I was supposed to, since that was/is a lot of what doing well in school boils down to here.

fuck math though, it's a miracle or something that I passed my college/university math classes

I was generally a very good student all the way from elementary to high school with mostly A's, but chemistry and biology were the fields I have always excelled at. In uni, I do really well in subject related to zoology and environment, while my attitude towards more chemistry focused subjects changed to "pls just pass me"

I was always great at science (especially chemistry) and history. I also did very well in accounting and my business teacher kept telling me I should be an accountant, but I didn't really enjoy it. I've also always been good at math except for algebra 1 and pre-calculus where I had terrible teachers, and algebra 2 where it just wasn't clicking for me. I could have taken AP calculus, but my pre-calc teacher was just terrible at his job and I am lazy, so I just switched to the regular math class and excelled at it.

I've always been not good at English. I'm not even sure if that sentence was grammatically correct. I actually do extremely well in foreign languages, but I just can't write and completely shut down when I have to write an essay. I think I have a fear of failure and no confidence in myself when I write. I never really did do terribly at English, usually getting B's, but the essays especially are just bad.

I always did well in English and history courses, and they were my absolute favorites. What I couldn't and I'm definitely willing to bet I still can't handle, though, was anything math and science related. Some of it was definitely due to less-than-stellar teachers, to be sure, but ultimately they just weren't subjects I ever comfortably took to. Still surprised to this day that I managed to pass any math classes at all lmao.

I always adored maths, literature, english and history.

So I eventually became a journalist specialising in British/American politics with a Masters' degree on Economics (and studying for a phd). You can just see the straight line from point A to B.

I excelled at math and struggled with chemistry. Chemistry was just ungodly boring and was always late in my school day so I'd end up falling asleep almost every day. My teacher used to work for a big pharmaceutical brand and ended up hating it but didn't want to just waste his knowledge so he became a miserable teacher. On the other end of the spectrum, math was always my second or third period and the three teachers I had through high school were really cool and loved doing what they did.

i haven't been in school for four years but my english/spelling/reading/writing was always well above average. my math was so bad that i was in remedial my first year of college and i essentially have trouble visualizing numbers in my head if there's too many. ie. i can't do 75 + 89 in my head unless you give me a while bc i just. can't process it unless i can do it all on paper. don't know why i excel at english, though. i have just always been ahead there which in the long run i mean what has it done for me lol nothin...... math used to give me anxiety attacks at a young age and thinking back on it now, i realize i was pulled out into the special education rooms specifically FOR math. it's that bad y'all. and lemme tell ya when you're out of practice and don't have to multiply and shit all the time, that falls out of your head too. i had to sit and think about what 7 x 8 was the other day. i think it's 56. shit idk
