I liked Temple of the Sea the most, but I also adored Destiny Deoxys, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, and most of the ones from the original series. The DP ones were pretty good too, but the dubs weren't all that great unfortunately. As for the Best Wishes movies, the Victini one was just excellent, but every single movie after that took a giant decline in quality... =/

Does anyone have a good idea as to what caused this humungous quality drop? I'm guessing the Victini movie took too much of their budget by being released as two separate movies with completely different soundtracks, so the movies after that couldn't afford a good writer... but I dunno, it's just a rough guess.

I've seen all Pokemon movies from Pokemon 4Ever to Giratina and the Sky Warrior. I really enjoyed them.

I watched all the moves from the first up till Arceus's one (except Lucario and the Mystery of Mew), but that was years ago. They're mostly good to watch, but most of them turn out as the same plot: an evil person wants to take control of <insert random legendary here> and has to be stopped. The only one with a real different plot was the first one. Here the legendary Pokémon and the evil guy are the same person.

I did kind of like that the three DP movies had the same legendaries appear. Some kind of almost-continuity haha.

Power of One is the Lugia movie, right? If so that was one of my favourites, I always found the story so cool and epic as a child haha.

Actually, Destiny Deoxys and Lucario and the Mystery of Mew were very different, especially the latter. The Lucario movie had such a unique and likeable plot, so I'd recommend checking it out! (I'd even go far enough to say that it was the best Pokémon movie of all time, though it's still only my second favorite after Temple of the Sea.)

I haven't seen any of the later movies actually. I remember seeing Giratina & the Sky Warrior which was really good, but other than that I've only really watched the first three.

Aw, looks like the talk about movies is over. =/

Time to think of something new: What's your favorite move in the games, and why?

I haven't seen a lot of the Pokemon movies. The last one that I really sat down to watch was the fifth one with Latios/Latias. I have seen parts of the movie with Lucario and Mew, and it looked really amazing. I keep meaning to sit down and watch it at some point. Maybe once I finish my watchthrough of the Diamond/Pearl anime series.

My favorite movie in the games? I want to say Ice Beam. I don't know why, but it's the only move I get absolutely giddy about whenever I find out a Pokemon can learn it.

As for why I got a Cleffa into the E4 on Silver: It was in an egg when I challenged the E4, and hatched right before Lance. Whatever Pokemon I was using at the time knocked Lance's final Pokemon down to 1 HP, and was knocked out. Cleffa was my final Pokemon. I sent it out, the Dragonite either had to recharge or missed its attack, and Cleffa used whatever pitiful attack to finish Dragonite off. I just stared at my screen for a few seconds to process what just happened and if I had discovered the meaning of life.

It reached level 13 after that battle, so it gained twelve levels in one go. That happened the last time I played Silver, so I never did anything more with that Cleffa. But because of that, I've always had a soft spot for Cleffa.

I can't really recall the story of Destiny Deoxys, I'm starting to doubt if I have even watched that movie fully, or just the second half. Nevertheless I have only seen it once. Maybe I should rewatch them sometime.

I don't think I have one favorite move. In the games themselves I mostly rely on the moves that have maximum accuracy and a good attack power, like Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and Psychic. Moves like Rest and Recover are really helpful too. If your Pokémon gets damaged by a strong trainer battle, you just walk into the tall grass and meet a low level wild Pokémon and heal yourself, ready to face the next trainer.
