The Tirtouga/Carracosta line will always be my favorite fossil! They're super-cute turtles, plus they're awesome and fun to use! After that, Cranidos comes in second place for the reasons I mentioned a few posts ago.

(Although I admittedly forgot that Tirtouga was a Rock-type when I made that post... go me! xD)

Now you mention it, there exist a lot of turtles in the Pokémon world, Tirtouga, Squirtle, Golem, Turtwig, Shuckle, Torkoal and possibly some others I forgot to mention.

I never realized that Golem and Shuckle are turtles, ahaha. But still, I really like all of those Pokémon you listed except for maybe Shuckle, though I certainly like Torterra a lot more than Turtwig.

They have a turtleish shell and can retract their heads and limbs, so seems pretty turtle to me. I think Squirtle's family might even be the one I like the least of them, which is a bit odd, because starters are quite loved in general.

Tirtouga was a really awesome one, I always loved how Marriland calls it a "derpy turtle". Aquilavus from his Black Wedlocke made me love it even more, and I remember feeling sad when he died to a trainer's Accelgor on Route 10. Damn 4x Grass weakness getting the better of him.

Quadruple weaknesses are often instantly fatal. Something that's just as annoying is when the opponent can do a super effective draining move. My mono-ice team couldn't do a thing against a Drain Punch Pangoro.

At those times, you'd wish for Ice/Poison, Ice/Bug, and good Ice/Flying Pokemon.

Yeah, 4x weaknesses suck, especially when doing monotypes because that usually means the rest of your team probably isn't very good at countering whatever type it you're going up against either.

I remember using Leavanny in Black 2 and it became one of my favourites to use. Initially I was put off by the double x4 weakness, but aside that it helped out in so many tough battles.

I've always loved Magnemite, despite its ×4 weakness to ground. Its electric and steel type attacks can't hit ground Pokémon well, so there's no reason to use it against ground types. I don't think I've ever played without water type Pokémon on my main team because of Surf (aside solo challenges), so that's covered.

Show me a grass type that can't beat this pokemon, and I'll show you a pokemon that deserves even less to be on this list.

It's slower than Golem and I doubt its 55 base defense can resist a STAB super effective Stone Edge. Even if, Golem's Sturdy prevents it to be KO'd instantly.
