There are a lot of supporters on PC. But there are even more non-supporter members. Are there some things you are comfortable with saying or posting here, where only donators and staff can see, but not out on the public forums?

Anything not Pokémon related really. I kinda want to talk about other interests or real life sometimes but I don't feel comfortable revealing too much about myself and find fast moving threads or crowded forums hard to keep with so to me VIP does feel safer and more relaxed. I do need to post in it more though!

I do sort of! since not many people come in here. I like talking with the ones who do tho.

I don't really see much difference, since I tend to post literally the same stuff in both the public forums and the supporters-only forum. I did once share a photo of myself a while ago (I rarely show my face since I don't have many photos of me in storage) in the VIP Forum before I shared it in Treehouse's photo thread.

Ehh. No, not really. Most of PC's userbase are supporters, so in my view, posting in here is not really that different from posting in public.
Are most of PC's users really supporters? Maybe out of those who have stayed for years, but in total it seems unlikely.

I'd argue differently. Last time I counted, there's like ~300+ Crystal Tier users alone. Granted, this doesn't take into account the amount of supporters that are actually active, but given that it isn't hard to become one in the first place, then, to me, it seems like VIP isn't really all that "special" than any of the other forums on PC.

Hm, perhaps a lot of people can view it indeed. But as someone said, not many actually do come here. Plus! It's not visible for guests or by google searches, is it? That alone makes this place feel more like a room we can close the door behind us in imo~

Back when I was on staff. I usually keep most stuff private, like my irl name and my personal, family life. Then I was like "what the heck, I trust these people. It's not like they're gonna find me by my phone number." Now, even as an ex-staffer, I'm pretty much an open book, so I don't mind it either way. I feel more comfortable speaking out about a few things, including my irl name, even though people I know still call me Megan, which is still okay.

I'm with colours. Doesn't really feel like a secret section since so many regulars are supporters/mods already.

Do y'all mods feel differently up in the secret mod forums?
Yep, the staff equivalent is a speshul shitfest.

There's another point to this forum though: it "belongs" to the supporters. I kind of want to argue that all of PC's forums belong to their regulars, but this place is unique in the sense that it hasn't had a moderator (at least not that many remember?) and no clear direction. It's been directly stated by PC's leaders that we can do whatever we like here as long as everybody is ok with it. That sets it apart from, for example, Treehouse as a chat forum.
