I saw the new Pokémon Presents, I am not impressed. Nothing really new in Pokémon Pearl/Diamond. Pokémon Arceus gets my attention. Something really bothers me though: there are new Pokémons/forms, and I will have to include them in my game, which implies that, either I wait for someone to make the sprites, or I learn pixel-art to make them myself :(

I watched that trailer from the Legends game and am somewhat torn. On one hand, they have made improvements, stuff looks a lot better and while there are definitely still flaws (the cliff looked really polygonal for example), I think it'll look really good in the end.
But on the other hand I feel like they've again glossed over the main things only briefly. It also felt very zoomed in a lot of the time (which could be due to the Switch's low resolution being full HD at best). It's also another instance of them showing us what they consider the "best part" of the game. Like, battling is cool and all and Pokerides (which I assume is what it is) are convenient, but is that really all there is?

One thing I really didn't like in BotW was how it was just a sandbox. There was no effort put into worldbuilding and interesting side characters and whatnot. And I'm afraid Legends might just end up being the same.

For example: they only showed it briefly, but there was indeed a town in the trailer. And it felt so incredibly empty and boring, very similar to the towns in SwSh.

Or maybe you're just incredibly smart and purposely avoid any sort of spoilers so that when the games get released you can go ahead and form your own opinions. And when the day comes and everyone talks about how everything is how they expected it to be you can come in and say that you experienced things completely differently and everyone is just like "You Did What? No Way! D:" and you "Yes way! :)" and they "OMG!"

I don't think the trailers were good enough to the point that people might get disappointed by the games... I think the trailers were disappointing, so that players who still buy the games will be amazed!

Yep, that's exactly what I done 😎

Tbh though, I actually do that sort of thing a lot. When we went to Disney World, I was the only one of the party that refused to watch videos of the new stuff so I could experience it properly. Everyone else was pretty jealous of my restraint and it was totally worth it!

I mean... they could have had that too if they weren't so nosy 😏

You shouldn't want anything from Game Freak / The Pokémon Company / Nintendo; chances are, they are going to be as lazy / minimalist / frustrating as usual.
