I could, and yet I don't want to make Kabutops overpowered :D
I did give it a custom move though, a Rock-type equivalent of Giga-Drain, so it has a STAB that goes with its concept.

Why not Primordial Suck (or Slurp if you don't want to use Suck)
based on 'Primordial Soup', dunno if this is too far back though lol

Paleo-Drain is ok enough though 😉

According to the Pokédex in several versions, Kabutops drinks the body fluids of the preys it hunts. That's why Kabutops has Giga-Drain (and the weaker forms) + Leech Life.
Also I wanted to give it a physical Rock STAB that didn't miss 90% of the time -_-
(Don't worry, I am not focusing my fangame on Kabutops XD
Many many Pokémons get lore-friendly improvements)
