In the list of 890 Pokémons / 1000+ including forms, it's normal to have half of them in the "meh" category ^^
Actually, most Water or Fire-type starters are "meh" to me ^^"
I see you all Blastoise fans, wanna fight, eh?

I don't like fire starters either most of the time. I like cyndaquil and all the sinnoh starters are cool. fennekin is cute too

Fennekin is adoreable =D It's evolutions are okay. I'm not bothered by them and like em more than the alternative starters for that gen ^.^
Like Litten & Torracat too, but not incineroar.
Think the only fire starter I actually hate is the Infernape line.

For water starters Inteleon just creeps me the heck out =\
Primarina and Empoleon are amazing =D

I love most Grass-type Pokémons, including starters. Would I apply for a Gym Leader position, I would choose Grass, or Bug-types. Second choices would be Normal or Rock.
I think the Pokémons I prefer are those that look "dull" (check my VPP's for example).

pft I beat Cynthia with a lv. 50 Gyarados and a few other flying types that were even lower level than that :)
I did use items in battle though, oops
 
239146 my current save my team was empoleon, crobat, kricketune, lickilicky, houndoom and giratina i think 🙂annoyed i saved over my old file, i had mystery gift darkrai and shaymin 😭

That's something I like about older Pokemon games: if you try using a full team and you only resort to the things immediately available (items, only beating trainers and very rarely grinding) you can beat the games fairly well. I actually don't know when the balancing got weird and took more of a shift towards making the player be on par in levels as the opponents. It might have been gen 5, for what I know. That was the first generation where I felt like I either had to grind or exploit X-Items in order to make up for being underpowered and outmatched. That last fight I had against Ghetsis was painful. <_<

I'd most likely be a Steel-type expert... either Steel, Dragon or Dark.

I fight every trainer I find and will grind on wild mons if necessary. Don't think I've ever been under leveled... for long anyway 😂
I'd never try a challenge run or the like though, not my style.
