Quite a few of my friends know I love Pokemon and I know at least a few of them enjoy the series too, so who knows maybe they're on here and I don't even know about it. I find people are generally comfortable with discussing their interest in Pokemon - my tutor and I spent a whole lesson discussing Pokemon, granted he's still in university but still goes to show people don't mind talking about it. Whilst I don't go out of my way to bring it up, I don't feel any shame about it and I think it's a nice conversation to have with people!

@ Lemon juice: YIKES. I'm glad you found the experience beautiful in a way, though? Never heard that one before but more power to you. :D

Really it irks me when people feel ashamed to hide their fandoms :(

I don't like wearing pokemon shirts out in public because I feel like I'd just get weird comments about it, idk. That's one of my fears anyway.

... Or at least, was. One of the maintenance people at my job has an eeveelution backpack so that gives me some confidence.

Honestly Angie whenever we do meet irl I'm probably gonna tell you that I am the girl in [insert Pokemon shirt here] bc that's what I mostly wear (if not anime some other nerdy shirt) whenever i'm not wearing work clothes hahha. At this point it's pretty much my whole wardrobe and it upsets my sister.

Though honestly I do need to go through it and figure out which ones don't fit me so i have permission to buy more Pokemon and other nerdy shirts again.

I wear my fandom shirts out in public specifically to get comments on them.

Wore a Doctor Who shirt to the eye doctor a year ago and one of the doctors there complimented me on it, and it made my whole day.

Honestly even if i wasn't wearing a shirt I have so much nerd stuff on me it wouldn't matter lol. I have a Zelda Lanyard, a Zelda Purse (when I'm using it), a Cardcaptor Sakura and a My Hero Academia wallet as well. I've been getting a lot of compliments on the BNHA a lot since it's the wallet I've been mostly using lately. I also remember going to Disney and getting a lot of compliments on the KH shirt I was wearing (but that's to be expected because... disney).

I've been wearing Pokémon shirts in public for four years now, and not once have I ever gotten a weird comment. In fact, most people who say anything about my shirts compliment them rather than criticize them.

I just wanna wear a shaymin shirt in public. :<

... probably will at some point once I'm less nervous about doing it.

I still wear 1 of the Pokemon shirts I have regularly - it has an Omantyne on it! I got it when I was like 13 as a present but hey still fits so I'll wear it around the house and occasionally outside. I think the shirt was made back when Twitch Plays Pokemon was popular but I've personally never really watched that. :p

I wear my Ludicolo shirt for Pokemon events, no shame there. :V (It was a present from a friend too). Have also worn a LoZ shirt, which got approval from my work supervisor - turns out he plays those games too!

I don't show off my fandoms because I have no way to, really. There were never many places I could easily buy such shit from.

Also because I really don't give a fuck about showing anything off lol
