But the only color people can agree on is amazing and goes with everything is the steel blue mod one :)

Mods actually did have teal at one point! I'm too lazy to go looking for an example of that right now though. But it did exist!

The magical answer to all your problems is in a little CSS property called text-shadow. Have PHP pick either black or white at the time it's set depending on the luminosity.

Funny you guys mention username colours - I was talking with a pal about fixing up the idea for a new community, and was planning on taking that colour + bold + italic and shamelessly wearing it as the system admin colour. It is quite pretty :A


If it makes hstaff feel better it could be off for guests, but defaulted on for logged in users, toggleable. c:

I was a 15 a long time ago and made a tryingly useful but nonetheless shitty blog post

and decided to make up for it by fulfilling the thing's original purpose. Tbh the only colours from my time that are missing are BSS and the pink mod, but if anyone has the colours from days of old I'd add those too
