swooping in to confirm that Yorkshires make amazing and chill pets but dang does their fur get matted if you don't groom them properly.

I'm a large dog guy.

I have an akita and he is the most adorable thing ever.

Komondor's are hard to keep, though. @_@

Not only the grooming part, the also have a very strong temperament. They can be really, really aggressive.

dude can you imagine the smell that comes off those guys though? HOO BOY.

"wet dog smell"... more like "one sniff and you die".

i'd be angry too if i had that much fur piled over me all the time!

Hungary's most important dog breed.

They are shepherds and guardians. They are also very large. Males are around 30 inches tall to the shoulders.

Golden retrievers are beautiful. <3

I have a golden cocker spaniel back home in Cali, and two little chihuahuas. I miss them all.

I had a golden retriever growing up for 13 years, but we had to put him down a little before christmas when I was 13 because he couldn't walk anymore and started having like, dementia problems.

/sad post

Omg my previous golden retriever had a stroke at 14 and we thought he was gonna be okay if too tired to do anything anymore but then he did what dogs do and went off to die in the backyard a day later :(

The real tragedy is how I saw Marley & Me when it came out (this was like 2008) a week before he died and it was the worst thing ever

As I said, I have an akita and he is the most adorable thing ever.

Spoiler:

The cats that I've owned kinda leave you alone after you feed them and mind their own business. .___.;; Which Is guess is how most cats are?
I really wish at times that's how mine was!

But nope, I got the chatty cat. He meows at you to feed him, and then when he's done with that he meows at you to get your attention for whatever reason. Sometimes to play, sometimes for reasons I don't even know why.

sometimes i wish i'd ended up with cats who follow their stereotype..

all of my cats (four) are very hellbent on being in my business all the time and every single one of them are incredibly chatty. i actually have to block my cats out of my room (my door doesn't close) with my laundry basket at night to keep them out. sometimes even that doesn't work and they'll insist on pushing my door open to get in here and lay on my bed. :I;

the first thing they do everytime they come in here is walk right up to me and beg to be under my hand for at least 30 minutes. seriously. who has ever heard of a cat that just constantly wants to be held and loved on, much less four of them??
