9. It's okay. Ash trying (and failing) to catch pidgey in the first episode of the anime was a good plot device. Since I like Pidgeotto, I don't mind voting up pidgey.

i'll vote up Pidgeotto later. it's just that Pidgey itself never stuck with me, especially as a starting bird. kinda like Hoothoot.
