Who actually read them when they first joined PC? And why?
    I didn't :|

Yes I do, I always do when I join a new forum. Although 95% is the same or very similar - its one of the most important part of the community. I only read them briefly, but I focus more attention on that 5% (whats different).

When I did join PC, I read through the entire rules page - to give me an idea of what is acceptable and what isn't, even added a bookmark in one of my bookmark folders (I have one link for each forum I'm registered on) - for quick reference.

Yep. I didn't join PC until a week or two after finding it, but I looked over the rules before I even was sure I would join haha.

I don't think so. I remember figuring that the rules would be similar enough to all the other forums I've been on.

Yeah, same as Pat. I figured it was all just common sense. I've modded and participated in many, many boards before and it's generally a "rinse and repeat" thing. Sometimes, rules are even copy/pasted lol so why bother.

Probably, because the third thing they say when one joins (after 'hello' and 'enjoy your stay') is 'read the rules'. I later read the privacy statement and terms of service; I think the documents say some interesting things.

Oh god, I love the originality of this thread.

As for me, LOLNOPE. Seriously, I didn't. I joined an immediately just started VMing people and just kept being rowdy. Hell, I didn't even post an intro thread.

I'm actually not sure if I still have read the entirely of the rules.... awks.

Back when I joined I was a real goody-goody. So I went out of my way to find the forum rules. Back then, though, they were out of the way in the Technical Institute instead of being in Announcements and being linked in the navbar... I think, it's been a long time.

I never read them and a warning and an infraction later, I was full aware of them! I know them well enough by now of course, but I certainly didn't care enough to read them when I first joined. The only one I was caught out by was the thread revival rule since that didn't exist on any other forum I've visited so it took a while to get used to, but 'hash and tag yolo', as I believe the youngsters say.

I actually just read the rules for the first time the other day out of boredom, but I knew most of them anyways as they were common sense.

    I will admit it, I DIDN'T!

I didn't read it until my signature was removed and I was wondering why, so I read it for the first time, and that was like in October 2012.

I never really read rules, I mean, why do you even need to read them at all, cos all forums have generally the same rule, and as this is a Pokemon forum, its pretty self-explanatory that we have to post like PG 10 or something like that?

Until now, I am pretty sure I have no infractions, but I have a warning, if I am not wrong.

I am pretty sure that most of us don't read it at all as well, like 50% of us anyway.

i didn't read the rules when i joined..bcuz i was not active much. When i became active in the NU/W i read the rules.
